Thrilled to present our new article in Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, "Selective excitation localized by the Bloch-Siegert shift and a B1+ gradient", online today! @wgrissom@mrimark https://t.co/3l0GRvPByF
MR-zero discovers something better than quadratic phase cycling for FLASH MRI.
This leads to an ideally spoiled transient FLASH, removing Epstein-fluctuations. https://t.co/1G3EyC24Ya

My advice to grad students - learn to spot people like this, so you can avoid them the rest of your career. You’ll be happier and more successful without this type of toxicity in your life.
Warning: Shockingly bad career advice below
Congrats to Chris Vaughn on a masterful PhD defense! Combining B1-selective excitation, parallel transmit, and MRF and doing it all at low field is transformative but no easy task!

The hardware product at the end of the @nyulangone@cai2r hackathon! Halbach array main magnet, active multi-coil B0 shim array, linear x y and z gradient coils, RF coil with passive shim attached for further homogeneity. A lot of good in a small package!
Such an amazing experience to be a part of the Magnet Team at #mri4all hackathon last week. It still seems unbelievable that 50 researchers managed to assemble an MRI system in less than 7 days. This is definitely a proof for the synergistic power of team work 🤜🤛@nyulangone
