@lionel_mora This looks great. We are in the process of building our own internal learning systems for our kids using AI and agents, and things like this really help.
@alieninsect@donalddhoffman Excellent discussion today. The Lighthouse was also a great venue. Hopefully we get more events like this from the Trace Institute and Noonautics in the future… although it’s possible they’ve already happened and my headset is preventing me from seeing that.
I couldn’t bring myself to read The Bedford Boys after reading Landing on the Edge of Eternity, although I did read some of the survivor reports from some of the members of the 116th. One thing I was struck with in general from the book though was how similar the military from the 1940s was to today’s. The way it planned, operated, and screwed up felt really familiar. But they clearly knew what they were being asked to do. I find these stories pop up in my mind quite frequently and are very visceral. To me they’re worth knowing and I believe anyone who feels like they understand the consequences of war, or are in politics and a part of making the decision to go to war should read the first hand accounts.
@alieninsect@noonautics@donalddhoffman Registered for the event on the 13th. Is it invite only for the in-person event or are there open spots for the general public?
@DougBernauer The future is happening right before our eyes. Tons of hard work, determination and late nights have gone into making this a reality. Keep up the good fight @DougBernauer
I flew with the Thug's (I was the night Battle Captain in Mosul). Can't remember who specifically had the call sign Thug 1-4. DM me, I should be able to get you in contact with whoever you need.
For anyone interested, there is a book about the unit called "Thugs of Mosul" written by our XO.

@RubenLaukkonen I really enjoyed reading your article. Vervaeke and Levin are, to me, at the forefront of real breakthrough in our society, and because of that, can be very difficult to grok.
This feels more like a compass heading I can follow than any strict set of guidelines or religious rules. I’ve gone through my own meaning crises over the last decade, and have slowly pulled myself back in by paying attention to the gradients and tugs from the larger pattern. This article felt like one of those tugs. Keep up the great work.
@CSElmendorf That was the best overview of the project I’ve read so far. It seems to me, there’s real opportunity for creative solutions to the challenges the city will encounter while being built. Most concerns assume we’ll repeat past mistakes rather than innovate.
@DustinWalper@ValstadShip I am curious what solutions are out there. We have to move around very heavy precast concrete with cranes and forklifts from particular pick points to prevent cracking and damage.
New Factory Friday! This is our new precast facility in Palmdale. Walking through it today with my son was inspiring. It’s still very clean, and maybe I’m a dreamer, but I plan on keeping it clean after we start production there. I’m grateful my Grandfather started this business back in the 60s out of his garage, and my Uncles, Aunt and Mom kept it going. To the next 60 years!
I can only speak for myself. I’m no “expert” on manufacturing but I see the need now more than ever, and so I’m entering the arena with the same energy and passion I bring to anything important. I see similar things all around and it’s probably giving the actual experts more reasons to put themselves out there. They have experience that makes them valuable, the difference is others are finally starting to see that.
