@Independent_ie So, most public servants are paid fornightly on a Thursday and as 2026 starts and ends on one of these paydays it means an additional costs. This happens roughly every 11-12 years. In other news there are 53 Fridays next year so anyone paid on a Friday will have the same issue…
@JLieb38@mtvsthewrld_ I bet you don’t live near a school though, cause if you did, you’d be complaining about parents parking in front of your house, like I used to.
@bea_johanssen@SaulStaniforth “State pensioners have at least contributed to their costs” that was my point. You were complaining about burdens and that was incorrect as they people obviously contributed, as have a lot of people on benefits who have paid their contributions previously.
@bea_johanssen@SaulStaniforth You’ve ignored the point that the majority of that spending is on Pensioners. Rough 55% of the 341bn you’ve quoted in your chart.
@SpecsaversIE Hi, I had an eye test back on 16 May and my glasses should have been ready today but there was a slight delay. Is there anywhere on your site I can check the status of my order over the next few days? Everything was done in-store rather than online.
