My favorite thing about this point in the computing timeline is the renaissance of textmode tools. stdio is back, baby; incredible things are happening on the CLI https://t.co/QBOnqbQUUb
it’s in gemini, just create it in ai studio. oh, that’s for your personal google one account. for workspace you need gemini business. no, not gemini advanced, that’s ai pro now. unless you need ai ultra. oh agents? you do that in spark actually. no, not gemini api managed agents, that’s different. for coding use jules. unless you mean the agentic ide, that’s antigravity. no, that’s the old antigravity, download the new one. actually gemini cli is being deprecated, use antigravity cli. no the flash model is smarter than the pro model. unless you need pro. if it’s video, use flow. no, flow uses veo. no, nano banana is images. actually that’s in gemini now. unless you’re in search, then it’s ai mode. no, research is notebooklm. anyway it’s all very simple.
Smita and team posted about how we keep video conferencing secure. The timing of this post is totally random and has nothing to do with anything else going on.

@mikker I'm very much enjoying Tuna and the ol' Quicksilver vibes. Thank you! I'm trying to make a "Ghostty here" command, working through an interstitial applescript now, but it's too many keypresses... any way to accomplish more directly, or am I waiting for 3p extensions?
@mikker Goodness, I jumped right to the complex solution ;) I guess what I'm trying to do is position 'open with ghostty' as a peer to Get Info or Reveal, to save keystrokes. I got close with an alias for Open With. Thanks for the assistance!
@zeddotdev I'd love to change the font or stylesheet of Markdown previews. The way Obsidian renders things is so nice I sometimes copy Markdown docs out of my repos just to read over there.
@nsxr1076 I didn't buy a ticket, just being silly :) However I did remember that Portland and Sapporo are sister cities https://t.co/umRciMmaY7 so perhaps we have more in common than I expected
@nsxr1076 If I wanted to visit Japan and eat from small farms, drink artisanal spirits, "know my farmer", where would I go? I guess I'm thinking of the hipster version of agricultural and culinary tourism.
@nsxr1076 That is almost hard to believe. Here on the west coast of America, I judge most food by "is it local and healthy" first, and other attributes second.
@nsxr1076 What are the other, better gyudon restaurants in Japan that are chains or fast food? If I landed at NRT and was starving... should I go to a Yoshinoya, or what's the best fast, cheap, guydon experience?
