It’s rare that we get to hear directly from the young people caught in the middle of family court disputes. So it was a privilege to interview Dylan* about his six-year separation from his mother after an unregulated psychologist advised she'd 'alienated' him from his father. 🧵
Removing children from their mothers in family court proceedings in the name of parental alienation and related pseudo scientific beliefs is the worst, most harmful social engineering experiment of our time. States internationally have to stop this cruelty.
A landmark ruling by a Spanish court that calls out a father who had seriously abused his child from using parental alienation syndrome. I hope judges internationally learn from this trauma-informed judgment

'Judge Giménez explains that the plaintiff, both in his statement of claim and during the judicial process, has made "malicious statements about alleged maneuvers" of his ex-partner "in order to prevent the parent-child relationship, that is, alleging the false alienation syndrome parental (SAP)". And the judge recalls that, according to multiple psychiatry and psychology professionals, the ideology that supports SAP is an instrument of dangerous pseudoscientific fraud, valuing the formulation of the syndrome as another form of violence against women.'
In a sensitive letter to the child Judge Gimenez said: "Your explanations have been very important to me, as they have let me know that sometimes you feel very afraid and that this makes you feel very bad inside and out. You have been very brave in telling us some of the things that scare you and that "The reason you don't want to be with your dad is because you're very afraid of them repeating themselves."
Sometimes survivors stumble into this reflexive overexplaining thing, because part of us is CONVINCED that if we JUST explain it well enough, "they" will finally validate our experience.
Thing is: "their" lack of validation has nothing to do w/ how well we explain it.
Yeah.
A very poor response by President of the Family courts. He could have stipulated that Family Court judges only appoint registered psychologists regulated by HCPC. Instead he has passed the buck to Govt & unregulated ‘experts’ can still be appointed. https://t.co/P9JoZ4c7E8
This post shares a brand-new article that I have co-written.
From ‘Parental Alienation’ to (Abusers’) Child and Mother Sabotage: CAMS as a preferable term for how perpetrator fathers intentionally sabotage the child-mother connection.

Cafcass is part of the AFCC network in the UK. Sir Andrew McFarlane is a member. The AFCC is a business association rooted firmly in "parental alienation" (PA) ideology. PA is recognised as a tool to suppress allegations of abuse in child custody cases. https://t.co/3UWxQ06Vaw
When our young people have experienced toxic stress over an extended period of time, their brains and nervous systems are continually scanning the environment for what is safe and what is dangerous. Hyperarousal keeps them in a constant state of stress.🧠🌱
Sir Andrew McFarlane refuses to meet with well-respected womens groups, yet meets regularly with fathers groups,&is due to meet with them again in November. We can't expect judges to be fair &neutral when there is bias at the very top.🤦♀️
This needs to change @MoJGovUK@JudiciaryUK
@jessicacadams Dear Jessica, thanks for your amazing insights. I am a Pisces but strongly Aries (Aries rising). I have had a bad 5 years (family/career/money). and now at worst point financially. Everything I try seems to just fail. I got the hanged man- other than waiting what can I do? Thx
Justice Secretary Alex Chalk has blocked the release of Robert Brown who bludgeoned to death his wife with a claw hammer.
Joanna Simpson's mother Diana Parkes welcomed the decision

The justice system in this country is officially broken if Judges are now told not to jail convicted criminals as prisons are full. A convicted rapist could be back in the community, free to re-offend, leaving victims & public at risk @RishiSunak https://t.co/Q0aRMEPJUr
My debut novel, a psychological thriller about domestic abuse, homicide and the family courts is out on 19 October - you can read the first chapters and preorder here! https://t.co/jAj4HqNTni
A 15 year old from Broward County Florida was missing for a year, she was found when her distraught mother was tipped off by a Pornhub user that he recognized her child on P*rnhub. The girl was found being raped in 58 videos on on an account called “Daddys_Slut.”
Police matched the abuser’s face in the videos to 7-11 convenience store surveillance footage and identified 30 year old Christopher Johnson. When police rescued the girl from his apartment and arrested Johnson she said the videos were filmed inside the apartment and that he had impregnated her.
The videos on P*rnhub were monetized with ads and sold as pay-to-download content where P*rnhub earned 35% of the sale of the videos.
The girl’s life will never be the same.
Here is a small sample of evidence we have about P*rnhub’s complicity:
-The CEO/owner admitted in emails that they did not verify the age or consent of any of the millions of individuals in the homemade user generated sex videos on the site.
- They ignored victims who were begging for their abuse videos to be taken down including underage children.
-When they did respond to victims they would hassle them to prove they were underage or victims of rape in the videos.
-Legal filings show they also ignored police demands to remove underage abuse on multiple occasions.
-If videos were removed they would just get uploaded again and again.
-They employed only 10 moderators per 8 hour shift for all of MindGeek/Aylo’s tube sites including P*rnhub, Redtube,YouPorn, Xtube and more.
-Moderators were reprimanded if they watched less than 700 videos per shift and were expected to watch up to 1200 with the sound off. Some of the more experienced moderators would skip through over 2000 per shift.
-Multiple whistleblower moderators have come out and said their job was not to remove content, it was to allow as much content to go through as possible.
- Last week text messages that were uncovered in legal discovery were published by the court where MindGeek employees said “The problem is that management does not want the rules enforced.”
-Text messages also show employees saying that management instructed them to stop sending notices of child sexual abuse on P*rnhub to management, presumably so they could claim ignorance.
-The depositions published last week confirm that P*rnhub was hiding child sexual abuse they knew about from authorities and not reporting any child abuse for over 13 years until the #Traffickinghub movement went viral. Not reporting CSAM is a criminal offense in Canada where their headquarters is.
- The depositions confirmed P*rnhub wasn’t employing any industry standard technology tools to detect or remove child sexual abuse for over 13 years.
- Legal discovery proved Pornhub had only one person employed 5 days a week to review flagged videos.
-They had a backlog of 706,000 flagged videos.
-They had a policy not to even review a flagged video until it has over 15 flags.
-A victim could flag their rape 15 times without ever triggering a review of the video.
-The CEO called their flagging policies “good and reasonable” in emails.
-The CEO admitted in emails it was obvious that they were trying to hide their policies from the credit card companies.
All of this was intentional company policy and practice. These were all decisions made by the owners and executives.

Day 5 of Post Separation Abuse Awareness Week..
We are highlighting the prevalence.
Abuse continues post separation when escaping an abuser and is the most dangerous time for survivors...
The fear is real!! #PSAAW 🎗
Such important reporting + incredibly hard to do, both legally and, bearing in mind the welfare of the women + children involved, safely. So pleased to see the brilliant @EdThomasNews pursuing this story, over many months, to get to the stage of being able to publish.
"The Ministry of Justice told the BBC it had made significant improvements to the family court system in recent years to protect domestic abuse victims - including preventing cross-examination by their abusers, expanding their eligibility for legal aid, and extending the use of special measures like protective screens and the ability to provide evidence by video-link."
The reality on the ground: judges simply ignore evidence so that mothers cannot access these rights. They are increasingly criminalised and have their children taken.
The family courts are getting worse, not better. @AlexChalkChelt@SheraFamily@EdThomasNews

I met with @CPSUK yesterday and was very impressed with their plans and vision to reform their service to victims. They understand the critical need to be more victim centric and trauma informed. If you’ve been a victim and had experience of CPS, help them achieve their vision.
This thread shows the commitment made to be more transparent to restore public confidence in the family justice system is nothing more than an empty promise. It reinforces to me that the family court doesn’t want the public to know the impact it’s having on victims & children.
