Vizio’s strategy of selling cheap TVs at cost in order to build an ad business seems to be paying off.
They solved the #1 problem with all digital billboard businesses by getting consumers to pay the capex - now link all those TVs up and, voila, you have an ad network.

@Avis I had a prepayed reservation and told you had no cars. Then to get my money back I had to call your toll free number. I called, waited on hold, and treated incredibly rudely. Finally told that #avis will keep my money for five days after #avis cancelled my reservation.
#Hertz totally screwed me today. Gave away reservation, said it was my fault. I called, reinstated the reservation, then no car again. Then said they had a car, a Porsche, but would cost me more then double my original reservation. Finally, disconnected me after 20 min on phone
@adtechtroll I think accepting adtech fraud as inevitable is the wrong starting point. It is an architecture problem. Each black box solution connects to the next black box solution. The entire ecosystem needs to be restructured.
