You probably won't see too much of me on here any more as I got a new phone and decided to not install Twitter on it. About time 😂
I still do have Mastodon tho (and might start using it a bit more): @[email protected]
See you over there!
@awesomekling It's amazing how futuristic Windows 7 feels even now... The theme, animations and anti-aliased font rendering made it feel a step up from XP (let's ignore Vista lol) — but compared to today's UIs, I've always remembered it as being a lot less buggy and a lot more responsive 😅
Anyone else looking forward to the leap second in 2025? I've been working on a project that relies on timekeeping and I just had to implement it...
Then naturally I had to make it work across timezones 😳
@SpectCow Well, I'm currently rewriting the compiler to be self-hosted (written in Voxel itself), so with that + Emscripten, I'll be able to build a web playground that allows you to compile and execute Voxel code on the web!
You may have noticed that I've started to build a new programming language. My latest video explains why, and I also show you how to write simple programs in it:

Possibly good news for people like me on the stuck train at Peterborough P3 to London Kings X — another train has *finally* been given the green light to travel towards London, so I think we should be moving soon 🤞🏼
(Based on my limited knowledge of the UK rail network) @LNER
Big shoutout to my first GitHub Sponsor! 👀
They in fact emailed me asking if there's any way to sponsor me, so I set up a GitHub Sponsors profile to accept donations! If you'd like to support my work (such as Voxel), then consider sponsoring me! 🙇♂️

I made a 1.5-hour long video about implementing `for` loops in a new programming language I've been making. If you happen to have nothing to do for 1.5 hours (unlikely) and are interested, then why not watch it:

@awesomekling@jonathansampson@ladybirdbrowser Would "Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; x86_64) Ladybird/1.0 kinda like Chrome/124.0.0.0 Safari/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/125.0 but actually very much not" work? 🤔
Get web developers to hate you with this one weird trick!
