Christophe Garnier, our project coordinator in southern Gaza, is one of the MSF team who entered #Gaza 6 days ago to help provide medical care to people. He sent us this voice note yesterday, the day after an Israeli airstrike hit an area near the hospital the team is supporting.

Countries in West Africa are currently struggling with outbreaks of potentially deadly – yet vaccine-preventable – disease diphtheria. Communities are vulnerable due to a lack of vaccination programmes. We're urging @WHO, @UNICEF @gavi to urgently provide support and vaccines.

Israel has given Al Awda Hospital just two hours to evacuate. Our staff are still treating patients.

We unequivocally condemn this action, the continued indiscriminate bloodshed and attacks on health care in Gaza.

We are trying to protect our staff and patients.
