@tanpukunokami I didn't learn the difference until I moved to the South. In SoCal you just threw food on the BBQ and cooked it. For the most part, if you 'wanted BBQ', you meant you wanted ribs. Never really grilled so it didn't, and doesn't, effect me much....but the South's way is correct.
@josh_odgers@wholemars I struggle with the difference between capable and lawful, which is what they are fighting. There are Y's running around as cybercabs, with existing hardware, so it's 'possible' but only where regulations allow it currently, no?
@Franco_Vision Gotta say, if every parent ensured those things were with their kids, the teachers wouldn't need them. However, the 'specific brand' of glue stick/marker/clips/etc, that is silly to me. School projects should be taxes, your kids supplies should be yours.
@mariotomich With so many wearing watches/bands, it literally tells you rough calories burned each day. Track food for a couple days, then do the math. Caloric deficit isn't fun, but hard to argue.
@KJSchilling94 Then it should happen somewhere else. SS is pitched as a backstop to help aging populations that they saw weren't prepared. Having people pay into a system, just for the hell off it, that they likely won't even use to the extent of others, is just silly.
@ronrule I think Cybercab 'works' as well as it does is because it doesn't have to park often, it drops off. Plenty of videos of those stops creating issues still. It's a tough problem to solve I'm sure, but i think it's what stops it from personal car vs a taxi.
@xrpmjolnir@RyanVoutilainen There lies the problem, you can project the entire globe on a flat map and every country look correct. It's no offence to any country. If you want to see the EU, Africa, etc accurately, then you look at a map focused on that body.
@chelsssseeeea Probably said somewhere in the comments, but the bigger difference I feel is most of these things need judicial warrants. Sure those get abused too I'm sure, but fewer people willing to lose their career. Vs asking a cop friend to tail find out where your ex is going.
@educator4ever36 This goes both ways (for the better), as noted. No more excuses for the parents (who should be doing this with their kids in some way anyhow) and up front discussion with the teacher on expectations/changes that might need to happen moving forward.
@OTCSucio We've had them in my area for several years now. Super annoying at first, but actually like them now. It's the proximity/volume of the secondary light that F's things up during peak time. If you are getting on the hwy, it's A LOT better, crossing depends on time of day.
@LeadingReport I'd imagine those percentages are lower in areas that work with ICE. When areas don't work with ICE, they have to look for them, people often live with family/friends in the same situation, but maybe not violent criminals. So they get taken in as well, vs just Jail to ICE.
@julianrinaldi@DrKnowItAll16@Tesla Totally agree. However, and it's a double edged sword. If the goal is point to point safely, the only 'aggressiveness' should be merging/turns/blind turns. I take over often to pass and drive like I drive, but just thinking end goal, what's best.
