@BrianVad@martincollignon@NatuurenMilieu Are there any material availeble on a grid evaluation on what you state @BrianVad and are you aware if it looks different across countries in Europe. Would be cool if all heat pumps would be smarter and work to support the grid on a domestic home level
@Mike_Sammon@homelyEnergy@OctopusEnergy This is where self learning heat pumps would be beneficial. It does not need be complicated but tracking over time DHW usages, COP at different ambient conditions etc. then hooked to forecasted electricity β‘οΈ price and ambient the heat pump should be able of planing run pattern
@drwave I commented as if you instead of running on thermostat always had the loop heating but ensured the flow temp was compensated vs. ambient. The you may save significant energy and comfort level go up
@GeoBoon @Ainsdale_Gas I believe that the ambient conditions are specified in the standard they comply up against. This is then tested in a climate chamber by third party. In real life often all of this is much more dynamic. For the Vaillant I have a Arotherm Plus 10 kW and it performs well
