Four years ago, a single conversation changed everything.

I was catching up with my friend Dean Sutton, swapping stories about the different ventures we were building. I asked him:

“What do you think would happen if we dropped everything and focused all our energy on just one thing?”

The next day, I incorporated what would become WonderFi.

Today, @WonderFi has been acquired by @RobinhoodApp .

It’s hard to put into words what this journey has meant — we experienced it all: hypergrowth, acquisitions, regulatory battles, a public listing, lawsuits, shareholder battles, markets crashing, FTX collapse, markets booming… and now this. What an incredible chapter to close.

It’s especially surreal as this milestone comes just as I launch my next venture, @xtaohq.

My mission for the last two months was to distill my thinking on crypto-AI and Bittensor into one piece.

I was tired of seeing the same virtuous and idealistic arguments about crypto-AI. They’re well-intentioned, but irrelevant. They don’t drive adoption. Superior technology and better economics drive adoption. And crypto-AI provides that.

My thesis boils down to one line: crypto-AI wins because it makes AI innovation faster and more efficient.

I genuinely believe crypto-AI will become the default substrate for founders building AI startups, and Bittensor is showing what that future looks like.

Within Bittensor, more than 100 crypto-AI startups are already building across agents, model training, inference, and frontier research. They’re pushing toward state-of-the-art results, generating revenue, building communities, and experimenting with token mechanics faster than at any point in the network’s history.

I hope this report helps make Bittensor easier to understand. It’s a complex system, but once it clicks, it’s hard to unsee.

I’m a bit scared.

Last night after dinner I had an idea for a novel. I brainstormed it with AI in about 2 hours (world building, characters, outline with scenes, tone of voice). This morning AI wrote the novel in about 3 hours. It asked me some questions and wouldn’t continue without me providing input (I just said yes to everything it suggested), otherwise it would have been done in an hour I think.

Because I had a flight to catch, I sent the book to my Kindle and I just read the first 40 pages or so while on a flight. It is so unbelievably good, exactly what I had in mind, but even better. I can’t put it away, I don’t even know the details of how it ends yet. I may even publish it on Amazon under a pseudonym and he see how well it does.

We have no idea what we have created with LLMs. I am literally scared to read this book, it is better written than I could have ever done it myself. There are details of my own life in there that I wasn’t even aware of that AI could know them (a description of a very specific chair that I have in my house for example). The detailed storyline was almost completely created by AI. It knows exactly the tone I was looking for, what details I’d use in descriptions and how to keep me interested in the rest of the story. It reads like I could have written this myself, or like what I would have aimed to write. I recognise my own thoughts in it, even things I could have said myself, it’s hard to describe (maybe I should let AI write this tweet as well).

People who say AI is in a bubble have no clue. I literally have no words for this. And this is just the beginning…
