If you want to see me foaming at the mouth, screaming mad while also finding singular focus and organizing protests: restrict the release of daily COVID data.@HealthyFla
🔑KEY POINTS🔑
1. Singing / coughing may cause SARS-CoV-2 to travel more than 2 metres
2. Proper ventilation, low occupancy, and minimizing exposure time are extremely important in reducing transmission
3.⭐️Outdoors is safer than indoors but NOT risk-free

Texas Tech today reported 21 active cases within its football program. Those people have been placed in self isolation. The team will practice this afternoon without them. The one question nobody is able to answer for me: How many positives require a stoppage? Seems to vary.
@HealthyFla has pulled the new daily report on #COVID in schools, daycares, and college campuses. "...the state report was inadvertently published and that it contained information that remained under review to ensure it's "accurately reflected." https://t.co/ebl8CeTdeN
@Theresa_Chapple DID NOT realize that! Thank you for sharing this and for your efforts to promote #publichealthpractice and #appliedepi . I hope this gets through to academic epi depts. (My epi dept chair and profs openly disdained the fact that I worked at a LHD. ☹️ )
@healthyfla Why did you have to change the bar chart on the county report? We now can't see county-level trends in the number of new cases. We used to see 3 different data elements in 1 chart; now we have less trend data and must look in 3 different places for less info. Why?
This could be a game-changer for school safety, and for elimination.
These tests, which cost less than one dollar to make can be performed by people at home on a near-daily basis.

@GovRonDeSantis You said yesterday that Emer Dept data on COVID-like illnesses are imp metrics for current infection and LEADING indicators. Agreed. Why then is @HealthyFla always so slow to update the weekly count? Access to the raw data would be great.
