I’m sad and nervous about losing the SPARQL community on Twitter if things take a turn for the worse here. Not sure if mastodon or solid or whatever is a technical alternative, but the immediate loss of the built-up social network is going to hurt.
@azaroth42@workergnome You should try this with made up accession numbers and titles, and then try funneling that information into something like DALL-E or Stable Diffusion 😆
so my understanding is at twitter HQ, the folks running things in the “war room” are Musk, David Sacks, Jason Calacanis (VCs/Elon pals) Sriram Krishnan (exTwitter/current a16z), Elon’s legal and finance head guys (Spiro, Birchall) and a fleet of Tesla/BoringCo engineers
I was treated to some great views (and unfortunate pumpjacks) as we entered Southern California, and a wonderful sunset passing through Hollister Ranch.
@sandhawke I’ve always bristled at “engineer” because real engineers have much greater legal requirements and obligations for what they do.
But I think I see our industry try to use it to add a sense of depth to the role of development. Maybe more of a focus on system design…?
American Airlines will introduce a 15th daily flight on its Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) to Austin (AUS) route starting January 10.
It really seems like they're going for that "American Shuttle" style of timings.
I believe this is American's highest frequency route.
@perigrin Yeah, that’s fair. FWIW, I fall somewhere in the grey area of rules (I think!), but there was nothing approaching hassle (or even questions) when I got the new one at a Walgreens.
