Comparisons were made across #CommunityLedSupport programme areas and those areas not in the network, using macro level data, lived experience groups, practitioners, leaders, NDTi CLS Team and the CLS Gatherings @JennyPittsNDTi @NDTicentral
@CLSNDTi @JennyPittsNDTi @NDTicentral It doesn't necessary need to cost money (resources are stretched).Is there training opportunities or shadowing for example?EVERYONE needs to feel valued. But have conversations, what works for one person may not for another! #livedexpirence#outsidethebox@wmadass@NationalVoices
@epilepsysociety@MHRAgovuk Can there not just be some link up with explaining the serious risks and recommending birth control? Prevents people not being able to access what could be a life-saving drug while informing?
@IdeasAlliance_ A great #notanothercoproduction festival today. Been great to look at how Care Plans can be improved in @ShropCouncil. Lots of networking 😊 Remember coproduction is as important to the person with lived experience as it is to you! 😊 #bemorepirate
@K_Betteridge hi,
I am on the Making it Real board in Shropshire. We have come across the documents that the ‘disabled persons commission’ have produced and I was wondering if I discuss them with you? You seem to have achieved so much more then us and would love to find out more.
#OUK219community A community can be positive where you can be accepted, supported as well as supportive & part of something with a common interest. Unfortunately, like most things there's the polar opposite with hate & discrimination playing a role in some communities. @ouk219
@WestMidSafari can you please explain why you are discriminating against those with disabilities? You are no longer making ‘reasonable adjustments’ by charging for carers! I normally have an annual pass but I can’t afford an extra £50. Disabled people don’t have a huge income!!!!
@TLAP1@socfuture@HelenWBTeam@AnnaSeverwright Someone who is also more of an enabler then a carer. Someone who learns about you as an individual and not a ‘client’ or ‘patient’. Someone who you can share adventures and life journeys with
#insidethecarecrisis We are loosing decent carers to shops etc! NHS is backed up due to lack of carers etc answer- pay them a wage that reflects a SKILLED job! I will need care for life and I never want to be without carers! @54035com@ShropCouncil@edballs#carecrisis
#insidethecarecrisis she’s a specialist nurse, a mental health worker, an advocate, a carer as well as a friend. Yet she’s still ‘only a carer’. Her wage reflects a job that is unskilled. Yet it is far from that! #carecrisis@edballs@54035com@ShropCouncil 2/3
#insidethecarecrisis I have an amazing PA who I can only pay £9.60 an hour. She’s worth so much more, she has a much harder job then an Aldi worker and more responsibility. Her decisions make the difference between life and death. 1/3 #carecrisis@edballs@54035com
My stoma saved my life! Not in the way you think though- my mental health was rock bottom due to urology problems that I was sectioned and suicidal. My stoma removed the issues 🥰 My mental health stabilised 🥰 #MentalHealthMatters#StomaAware@ColostomyUK#Ostomate#mentalhealth
Today’s the day! We’re really excited about our second #StomaAware day.
Let’s stand together & encourage the country to become more #StomaAware.
Don't forget to tag us in to your posts, and together let's start to make a difference.

@54035com I was in hospice at the time of the reform announcement and currently at the time of recruitment so really needed a decent reform that benefited ME! Non of it did 😢 My financial care contributions I have paid for 10yrs won’t count towards anything until Oct 2023, the amount of..
@54035com protected income hasn’t changed for years while inflation has. The system has been thought of for the ‘older’ generation when social care is thought of but the younger disabled people are forgotten.
