This is the Lordโs doing;
It is marvelous in our eyes.
This is the day which the Lord has made;
Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
โ Psalm 118:23-24
@deaconokiejoe This is an incredibly wild take. In fact, many of those vehemently disagreeing with him are Baptists. We do not view our children as unworthy of hearing and receiving the Gospel message simply because we differ in the administration of Baptism. Stop being uncharitable.
@ImSoApologetic@ryanvisconti@lukedsimmons Framing it as "separation anxiety" that you take your family's spiritual health seriously is such a weird take. Oh noes. A parent who views church as an opportunity to minister the Word to their kids. What ever next? They might start loving their neighbors and stuff. ๐ฑ
@JadesSabre He was "grieved" by seeing parents ministering the Word to their children in a church service on the Lord's Day?
That's not a flex. That's telling on yourself. ๐ค
@Cptncaveman110@PenguinAprnMama@luinalaska So, historically it was *expected* that families would look out for each other and prioritize providing for the future generations of said family. But hey, don't let anything get in the way of your "me time."
@PenguinAprnMama@luinalaska I am a grandmother, and I also have a 3yo (yes, I KNOW) but if my daughter wants to drop off a grandkid or have me swing by to watch them I absolutely will unless we are sick or something. I LOVE seeing my grandkids, they are a delight. Why wouldn't I want to? ๐
@thebeckygriffin Publicly airing her business like this is super cringey. Yikes. I am glad they're making an effort to support her through this, but they're acting like they have final say over her decisions, which is being overbearing.
@elimcgowan@not_our_guy So out of 150 applications, they actively SELECTED the openly Nazi vendor, over other (most likely Christian) vendors who applied? That's wild. Also I hope the rejected vendors realize how they dodged a bullet not being affiliated with this hot garbage.
@elimcgowan@not_our_guy Given that G3 taught blantant Trinitatian error at their conference and it continued to snowball for several years before crashing out, I am disappointed at how accurate this is. ๐ค
@Strangeland_Elf Right. I must have imagined being an avid reader from the ripe old age of 4. Those sewing, knitting, and crochet lessons with mom. Or maybe this braintrust doesn't count those as hobbies? My husband introduced me to competition shooting but that's not a hobby it's self-defense.
@johnandrewwords ACBC has covered up malpractice, and for YEARS they have harmed people who take any form of medication for mental health.
They were complicit in pushing a dear family member to self-harm. I can forgive, but I can also warn. Avoid them.
@RoCa74394915@thomasjswithers It's interesting to me how you can respond with logic, facts, and evidence regarding TTW being a documented abuser/ heretic, but men will react with emotion because she makes them feel good about themselves. ๐ค Which they constantly accuse women of doing! Classic Projection.
@CraigsBrain@ryancduff This type of situation is EXACTLY why one summer we gave our teen son a weekly budget and had him shop for and cook his own food for the week. He had to meal plan and if he messed up, we weren't going to let him go hungry. But he got a reality check and developed a life skill!
@jeff_behnke_@ryancduff You don't have to use the high sodium packet in the Ramen. You can make broth with seasonings and only add a reasonable amount of salt. Still cheap. But better for your health. ๐
@jennrbee@ryancduff I hate touching raw chicken too. But I hate going hungry even more. So I learned to take a chicken from clucking to cooking all by myself.
@DimitrisD4n So it is preferable to you for the discourse to be overwhelmingly carried by men who hate women? Why? You see the problem Kaeley is naming. You claim to agree with her. You also see the abysmal behavior in the replies. But you "don't see any reason" to comment?
@CornelieCrpntr@Alonso_GD Exactly. When have fathers even had a tiny chance of dying due to the birth of their child? Never. Yet even with all our medical advances pregnancy and childbirth are still life threatening to women.
@gmk_julie I get that, truly. But there seems to be a plethora of "homeschooling and casseroles" level podcasts, and a famine of content with deeper theological teaching. If I weren't dealing with a 3yo, I would be drawn to filling that void, but it is not my calling at this time. ๐
