@jimmclean9 and I are happy to introduce R package Durga (https://t.co/Qggf60OHbK ). This package is designed to estimate effect size easily and to visualise effect size aesthetically. (1/11) #rstats#dataviz#Datavisualization
Our paper describing Durga R package is now published in @JEvBio . Durga now offer more options to estimate effect size for group comparison

If you are looking looking to make plot with effect size fr group data, as Kelly et a. did. Durga R package might be useful for you. https://t.co/Qggf60Pf1i
Here, we found that such species that do not use a web in prey capture tended to have more and longer capture spines, but this was far from being a general rule and the difference between group means was very small.

The Career Development Fellowships are now open for applications. The scheme aims to support talented early-career scientists from underrepresented groups, beginning as a pilot with researchers from Black heritage backgrounds: https://t.co/mIACOBJeaS

#Predators have to be fast if they want to catch a meal - and they have to come with means to restrain the prey. Claws and teeth might do the job.
But what if a snare is used instead? Such as a silken #web 🕸️.

@me_beber@jimmclean9@easystats4u Our package mainly focused on the plotting but not effect size estimation. Our package only provide pairwise effect size calculation. @easystats4u's effect size is probably the best package for effect size calculation and provide more options.
@me_beber@jimmclean9@easystats4u dabestr only does basic plotting with only scatter plot option available for group data. Our package provide box, bar, violin, raincloud to plot group data which no other package provides, see reference plot in our paper and twitter.
Late post: Happy to share that I have started a new adventure as a Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow at Freie Universität Berlin. Watch this space for host-pathogen interactions and climate change research (1/2) @FU_Berlin@AvHStiftung#hostpathogen#climatecrisis
If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please feel free to contact us. We hope to continue improving the package with your feedback. Enjoy plotting! (11/11)
