@Jo10030676@MegStEsprit I’m in my 30s and my grandma still mails me a card for every holiday (Valentine’s Day, Easter, Halloween, etc.) and it makes my heart happy every time. Totally fine to not give gifts, and yes it is a novelty, even decades on!
@ThomasReeseSJ@RNS To be clear, they're not doing this. They're hiring "unlicensed" chaplains, which means they absolutely are there to proselytize. But in theory I like the idea of chaplains in schools in a legitimate context.
@ThomasReeseSJ@RNS I'm surprised to find I'm okay with this. Maybe it's because I'm (soon to be) a chaplain, so I'm biased, but as long as they're following board-certified chaplain values of not pushing a particular religion on students, this could be a positive thing.
@__debi__t This makes me so irate (the original tweet, not yours). I’m just learning that I likely have endometriosis and it’s putting language to how horrific periods have been for me for my entire post-puberty life. It’s taken me two decades to learn that bc of messages like hers
