One of the tiny silver linings of my dad’s illness is that I got to see firsthand that we aren’t the only ones who loved him. People from all different eras of his life came out of the woodwork to be kind to him because that’s the kind of loyalty he inspired. One of one indeed.

I know some of his friends are active here, so I wanted to share the sad news that Steve Dennis has passed away. We met in Scrabble and became close friends, had a ton of fun, meandering talks (he warped my mind with the Monty Hall problem). A fun guy, a smart guy. A friend.

@khleitch Love to have child free “feminists” tell me what I’m actually saying about my “kids.” My oldest “kid” is home for the third day because of a 24 hour stomach bug while we wait for PCR results in a form acceptable to her school. I’m fine, she’s a mess.
