While #mentalhealth and #wellbeing issues have risen up the #policing agenda, very little is understood about the impact of pregnancy and becoming a parent on serving officers and staff; Dr Sarah-Jane Lennie and Dr Keely Duddin of the Open University, and Dr Krystal Wilkinson of Manchester Metropolitan University, have worked with Greater Manchester Police to undertake #research with officers on the issue, and develop a toolkit to improve the response and support offered by forces.

Pregnant & working mothers deserve workplace support & recognition. We firmly believe that a career in policing should never result in the unjust “motherhood penalty”. Today we share our research on maternity experiences in policing: https://t.co/JDuPeuwIv8 @kendal_e_wright
On the day we received the @AACSB innovations that inspire award for policing excellence, which recognised the delivery of police education programmes @OUPolicing and the research and KIP work we are involved in… @NYorksPolice published this piece too https://t.co/VIqTldxIhU

@loafhome really disappointed with my sofa from Loaf. Ordered last October in time for Xmas, came with wrong parts so couldn’t attach & a hole & stain on back of sofa. 6 months later- multiple emails, 2 technician visits- it’s still not sorted & now my emails are being ignored!!
