@samdknowlton Love this study and the information! Nature really does heal! And they both make great cover crops as well as we are using both in our summer mixes
Building soil carbon and soil health has never looked so beautiful! Great job by Ivo Jeramaz and his team at Grgich Hills Estate Vineyard. Ivo loves both his soil and his wine, so stop in and visit their tasting room if you are ever in the Napa region! https://t.co/VsVE6lDCsM

@GreenCoverSeed Safflowers will fill the photosynthetically sequestered carbon molecules of Asteraceae family which many thistles belong. Meaning, by planting safflowers (your plants) in your mixes will lower the incidence of thistle being problematic
Holistic view of every plant has a purpose
@RickBieber81@riley_sides@GreenCoverSeed And the spineless Baldy safflower are by far the most palatable as they do not have the sharp spines that most safflower types have
Very excited to announce 3 workshops coming up this January in the US, Canada and Estonia. I've teamed up with who I consider to be two of the most innovative and passionate farmers from Australia to run an applied workshop on putting soil health into practice... 🧵#SoilHealth

“People are fed by the food industry, which pays no attention to health, and are treated by the health industry, which pays no attention to food.” - Wendell Berry
If @RobertKennedyJr wants to improve our collective health, working with a completely aligned secretary of Ag is not optional. We must address the agricultural source of food quality, and the lack of nutritional integrity in food today.

Politics has played a big role in how our food is currently grown, processed and sold. We need someone in Washington DC that has been a leader in helping farmers across our nation. @LongLiveTheSoil is just that and has been for a long time. @realDonaldTrump@DonaldJTrumpJr@IvankaTrump@elonmusk@NicoleShanahan
Spread the news so we get someone in sec of ag who will work hard for us!
Just like @realDonaldTrump political career, Jimmy Emmons has risen from the ashes of a devastating fire to be a great leader for Ag. He would be a great Sec of Ag! https://t.co/PtW2HZr4eb
Let's keep the change training running - we need change in agriculture as well! Jimmy Emmons will bring common sense, a passion for the land and a heart for the farmer to the position of Secretary of Agriculture. Please comment, share or repost if you agree. @realDonaldTrump
If you are not familiar with Acres USA, they have been the central gathering place for scientists and farmers interested in soil health and ecological farming for 5 decades. You definitely want to check out this information archive. It is unmatched anywhere else.
@johnkempf Jerry Hall from GO Seed in Oregon has been doing as much or more breeding and selection on cover crops (mostly clovers) as anyone I know in the US.... He would be worth a visit....
