Today, @WHO received notification from the Israel Defense Forces that we should remove our supplies from our medical warehouse in southern Gaza within 24 hours, as ground operations will put it beyond use.

We appeal to #Israel to withdraw the order, and take every possible measure to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and humanitarian facilities.

A farewell ceremony for the Voronov family in Radushne, Dnipropetrovsk region.

Dad Artem (47), Mom Olena (41), their sons Mark (17) and Azarii Ilai (11), and their youngest daughter Emiliia (6), were killed by Russia.

A Russian missile strike completely destroyed their home. Five more children, including their 1.5-year-old grandson, Artem, remain missing.

"He called me and said, 'Our son is gone...' Those words hit me like a stone. I'll remember them for the rest of my life," Artem's mom shared.

My heart breaks for this family.

Over the weekend, a medical storage facility adjacent to Al-Aqsa Hospital in #Gaza was attacked, damaging the facility and causing destruction of essential medical supplies, including some delivered by @WHO.

Due to its proximity to the attack, the hospital building also experienced damage.

Despite the ceasefire, insecurity in Gaza persists, and people continue to struggle with displacement, poor water and sanitation, malnutrition, disease and lack of health care.

Since October 2023, almost 1000 attacks on health care have been recorded in Gaza, resulting in more than 1000 deaths and almost 1700 injuries.

WHO calls for the protection of health care. Health care facilities must never be attacked or militarized.

This is Gaza we are talking about, it’s not like you can just quickly get in a resupply. In fact, there wasn’t enough supply to begin with as Israel continues to severely restrict the access of humanitarian aid and the work of aid organizations.
When it comes to kidney disease medications so much is lacking that many patients who would require dialysis now require blood transfusions, but there is too big of a strain on already limited blood supplies and hospital capacity. This is largely due to the fact that, according to the iNGO Health Cluster, therapeutic erythropoietin which is critical to the production of red blood cells has been out of stock since Sept 2025. Yes, for nearly a year.
