@brady_kautz I think a good place to start collaborating is with our mentor teacher. In a new school they will most likely be the first person we get to know. Another good place to start would be with our grade group. Most schools have built in time for these groups to work together. #dtk12

@Jilby09 @jthill I think we can encourage their curiosity by not always giving them the answers. Let them discover and inquire. Students will learn so much more if they come to the solution themselves than if we spoon feed them. #dtk12

@Polly967 Elementary Math is my subject area and it can be full of play! Any time we use manipulatives we can involve play. Anytime we make a lesson fun and engaging it will feel like play to our students! #dtk12

@KorolErin I definitely will bring back the mindset of "iterate, iterate, iterate!" This is a very important mindset to model for our students. I find many kids struggle with the concept of failure. They need to learn that it's ok to fail. We get up and try again! #dtk12

@ryanssiemens @dtk12 That's a very good point that I hadn't thought about. It would be important to build trust. My design project for EDUC546 is about increasing a positive parental presence in one of our very diverse schools. Trust is a huge factor and the foundation of any relationships. #dtk12

@dmscott73 I agree. As we saw in the video from @jthill, it can be as simple as inviting families and community members into the school during lunch time to talk with students. It was so inspiring to see how engaged the students were! #dtk12

@mrslaneteaches Absolutely agree Emily. Stakeholders need to witness this movement. We need to encourage them to be a part of their children's learning. I find parents are often skeptical about new ways of teaching. We need to help them see its benefits. #dtk12
