🌘🚀 Artemis II Interview on Spectrum News 1 📺📡

@SpectrumNews1TX interviewed our National Space Society of North Texas President Ken Ruffin (@KenRuffin1) on February 17, 2026 about the second Wet Dress Rehearsal and more for NASA’s Artemis II mission.

In this 4½-minute video, Ken gives a clear introduction to the mission that will send four astronauts around the Moon and back, no earlier than March 6, 2026.

Watch below to hear exactly what Ken said.

The Artemis II astronauts followed last week's wet dress rehearsal activities with a debrief with the launch team.

Then, the crew jumped back into their simulations to stay prepared for the mission ahead. The earliest potential launch opportunities have moved to March.

While NASA continues to eye March as the next potential @NASAArtemis launch opportunity, a targeted launch date will be set after completing a successful wet dress rehearsal and reviewing the data: https://t.co/CANXDUgpTz

Happy Birthday to @AstroPeggy, America's most experienced astronaut!

[NASA Artemis @NASAArtemis]

Last week's wet dress rehearsal test for the Artemis II mission brought teams one step closer to liftoff.

Since the test, technicians have replaced two seals in the area where operators found a hydrogen leak.

[NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman @NASAAdmin]

NASA astronauts will soon fly with the latest smartphones, beginning with Crew-12 and Artemis II. We are giving our crews the tools to capture special moments for their families and share inspiring images and video with the world. Just as important, we challenged long-standing processes and qualified modern hardware for spaceflight on an expedited timeline. That operational urgency will serve NASA well as we pursue the highest-value science and research in orbit and on the lunar surface. This is a small step in the right direction.
