@SanjeevSanskrit Great insights! Like this argument. I agree Vedas, being apaurusheya & nitya, can’t contain history—timeless principles, not events. Names like Indra, Saraswati, or Kashyapa are placeholders, symbolic principles, not historical figures, recurring in each creation with new souls.

After detailed review of all Veda Samhitas, my stand is as follows:

1. Vedas do not contain history.

2. Words in Vedas are conceptual, not proper nouns.

3. Later people named places and persons after Vedic terms.

4. There is no sound basis to claim sequencing of the four Vedas. They look co-emergent.

5. Vedic Sanskrit breaks the foundations of the pseudo science called modern linguistics. The language is far more conceptual, layered and preserved than any known language. A hum-bum-dum origin of language cannot explain how such a complex system emerged and later all other languages merely simplify it.

6. Any language capable of high abstraction can be derived from Vedic models. This includes Hindi, English , German, French, Greek, Latin. Veda is the parent.

7. Aryan Invasion, Proto language and such theories are colonial ego constructs to avoid accepting Vedic civilization as source. No primary evidence whatsoever.

8. Vedas are the oldest coherent texts, meticulously preserved. Everything else is conjecture.

9. Unbiased position today is simple: Veda Samhitas are the source layer of language and culture. They do not record history and we do not have a dating for their codification.

10. Vedas are the most powerful cognitive engineering text known. Every word, prefix, suffix, order carries compressed, multidimensional themes. There is no parallel.

Conclusion: our approach to Vedas, to Hindu civilization, and therefore to world civilization needs a drastic relook. Veda is the source, not a derivative. 🔱

Yoga is mentioned all throughout the Vedic scriptures.
The author of the Yoga Sutras is Hindu sage Patanjali.

There is no such thing as Christian yoga. There is no such thing as Muslim yoga. There is no such thing as new age yoga. Yoga is Dharmic. You cannot separate yoga from Sanatana Dharma.

There is no mention of Yoga in the Quran. There is no mention of Yoga in the Bible. But Yoga is mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita.

Yoga is our heritage and we should be proud of that. Yoga, Gita, and Ayurveda are for all but they are Dharmic. People saying that yoga doesn't belong to any religion is the reason why some Christians have created Christian yoga, and some people have made beer yoga and dog yoga. Yoga and Sanatana Dharma are one!

If people can call the Caste system "The Hindu caste system" then I'm going to start calling Yoga as "Hindu Yoga." If the leftists, the west, and the media can associate anything bad in India with Hinduism, then I will associate anything good with Hinduism.
