🔴 Clarifying the Facts on UAE Claims in Sudan
The United Arab Emirates recently claimed to have provided USD 784 million in humanitarian assistance to Sudan. However, independent, and verifiable data does not support this statement.
According to the United Nations Financial Tracking Service (FTS) the global standard for humanitarian reporting, the UAE is not listed among the top donors to Sudan for 2023–2025, nor does it appear among countries contributing more than USD 10 million. In several reporting periods, its recorded contribution is zero.
At the same time, multiple international investigations have documented a very different pattern of engagement:
▪️UN Panel of Experts reports (2023–2024)
▪️Investigations by Reuters, The Guardian, WSJ, and FT
▪️Satellite analysis from Yale HRL
▪️Middle East Eye, Africa Intelligence, Brown Land News
These sources detail weapons transfers, drone components, ammunition shipments, fuel supplies, foreign fighter routes, and logistical corridors flowing to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), a group accused of severe violations against civilians.
This contrast raises serious concerns. Humanitarian transparency requires verifiable data not unsubstantiated claims.
Sudan’s humanitarian crisis demands genuine support, accountability, and respect for international law rather than narratives that conflict with documented evidence.

Sudan Doctors Network: Rapid Support Militia Turns Al Nuhud Hospital into a Military Command Center, Depriving Civilians of Healthcare
The Sudan Doctors Network reports that the UAE-backed Rapid Support Militia has converted a large section of Al Nuhud Hospital into a military command center and a fully equipped barracks since its takeover of the city more than five months ago. This militarization of a medical facility has effectively disabled the hospital from performing its essential role and represents a grave violation of the protection owed to health institutions under international law. It also directly undermines the right of civilians to access healthcare.
According to the Network, medical personnel in the city have faced continuous harassment, including accusations of affiliation with the Sudanese Armed Forces, which forced most of them to flee for their safety. As a result, the hospital is now suffering from a severe shortage of healthcare workers, leaving the remaining medical services extremely limited and unable to meet patients’ needs.
The Network expresses deep concern for the humanitarian situation of thousands of residents who remain in the city. These civilians are struggling to obtain medical care under increasingly harsh conditions, especially with treatment fees being imposed, the suspension of vaccination and primary healthcare programs, and the allocation of the entire emergency department solely to members of the Rapid Support Militia. By converting the hospital into a military site, the militia has effectively deprived the population of nearly all essential medical services.
The Sudan Doctors Network condemns these actions, describing them as clear violations of international norms and standards related to the protection of medical facilities and staff during conflicts. The Network calls for the immediate withdrawal of the Rapid Support Militia from Al Nuhud Hospital, the full restoration of the hospital to civilian use, the protection of medical personnel, and the reinstatement of basic healthcare services for all residents without discrimination.

#FactCheck: UAE-affilated 🇦🇪 @skynewsarabia recently reported that Sudan’s Defence Minister 🇸🇩 had resigned.
The claim is false ❌️ and the Sudanese Defence Minister later appeared publicly while inspecting SAF Medical Corps in Khartoum, confirming he remains in his post.

More of the UAE spin machine, with an especially craven argument that the longer you believe the lies of UAE involvement, the more Sudanese die. "One accusation has gained disproportionate traction: the claim that the UAE is arming one side and fuelling the conflict. It is a story crafted for easy consumption, a narrative simple enough to circulate widely in the era of soundbites and memes. But it is also a narrative detached from Sudan’s history, blind to its internal realities, and destructive in its consequences. Misdiagnosis is fatal. Every day the world clings to this fiction, more Sudanese lives are lost."
