#OTD in 1959, NASA introduced us to seven American heroes: the Project Mercury astronauts. The Mercury Seven were Alan Shepard, Gus Grissom, Gordon Cooper, Wally Schirra, Deke Slayton, John Glenn, and Scott Carpenter.
Historic moment for @rookisaacman and the whole @inspiration4x@PolarisProgram@SpaceX family. We are so proud to call him Commander. @NASA is gaining a legend. True American hero making America great!!

After spending 20yrs flying fighters, there are few I trust when flying formation within inchesโฆ@rookisaacman is one of them. Iโve also witnessed his ability to perform under the most stressful of circumstances traveling 17,500mph while orbiting the earth higher than anyone has been in over 50yrs. Thereโs no better human to lead us to Mars ๐บ๐ธ๐๐
@NASA
@rookisaacman has the vision to Make Space Great Again. He will get the job done and lead the worldโs best space program to new heights; planting the red, white & blue back on the lunar surface once again. Jared is the right man to command NASA.
The President @realDonaldTrump is delivering big wins and has assembled a strong teamโleaders from business, tech & philanthropy. Many, like myself, are new to politics but are energized to serve & help Make America Great Again ๐บ๐ธ
BREAKING: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt make some huge news about changes to which outlets will be allowed into the Brady Briefing room including:
- Podcasters
- Bloggers
- Social Media Influencers
The media landscape has forever changed. Itโs about time coverage of the White House was flipped on its head. Good!
I am optimistic that @DOGE can fix the DoD contractors, help the pentagon pass an audit and get us back to receiving the best capabilities at the lowest priceโfor the benefit of taxpayers and the warfighters risking their lives for our freedom ๐บ๐ธ
What would I do?
- Eliminate waste and abuse: Implement a โdefend the spendโ policyโevery expense must be justified.
- Hold vendors accountable: Put every contractor on notice: deliver more value or face consequences. Demand clear plans for improvement with firm deadlines.
- Renegotiate contracts: Use โterminate for convenienceโ clauses in government contracts to ensure better value.
- Focus on national security priorities: Terminate programs that donโt serve our strategic interests and redirect those funds to areas that matter most.
- Listen to warfighters: Solicit direct input from those on the frontlines to identify areas of biggest waste and critical shortages.
Leverage taxpayer-funded R&D: If the government has already paid for IP, make it available for competitive bidding to companies eager to deliver better products at lower costs.
Encourage risk-taking and disruption: Need to get the focus back where it belongs and ensure the next SpaceXโor any company looking to change the gameโdoesnโt have to sue its way into fair competition.
Increase competition: If necessary, break up the largest primes to foster a more competitive and innovative defense industry (I acknowledge this is maybe beyond reach, but really is necessary step to consider)
