Clinics at Wits providing healthcare to at risk students have already shut their doors due to this withdrawal of funding. Maybe #elonmusk should have a chat to his best bud 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Sometimes in life there are some things you can’t explain. You just know you have to do it. God gave me a gift that I now truly appreciate. The gift that is riding my bike. I’ll be damned if I go to my deathbed wondering, “what if?”. Round 2, you ready? Because I am!
In January 2025 I will be taking part in @RaidFeminin#laponiatrophy in Lapland, Finland with my colleague @jjohanns2 braving the snow and ice! We will raise funds for @CroixRougeLu. Our primary sponsor is @Official_LUNEX. Follow our journey on IG at https://t.co/wlIEebB17e
@karenlitzyNYC In Luxembourg single people without kids are in a diff tax bracket and pay higher tax… and the government is currently looking to correct that because of how discriminatory it is. I’m far more environmentally friendly with zero kids! I should have a tax deduction for that!

5 yrs ago today I had a moderate stroke from a vertebral artery tear caused by a chiropractic neck adjustment. After 6 days in hospital, I couldn’t drive for a month and needed a walker and cane. I’m grateful each day for my recovery. Don’t let anyone touch your neck friends. ❤️
Okay, I'm going to say it. 🇳🇿🇿🇦🏆
The comparisons between the 2015 All Blacks and 2023 Springboks was always going to happen when South Africa went back-to-back (Bok to Bok).
While it is a bit pointless, as they played in different eras, let's compare notes anyway.
The 2015 All Blacks were dominant like no other team has been between 2011 and 2015, and yes, they retained the Bledisloe Cup each time, went on an 18-game winning streak and won every TRC (except for one in 2015).
But IMO, Test rugby was nowhere near as competitive then as it has been since probably 2016/17. The All Blacks were in a league of their own. They had a golden generation (which is saying something for them), and the rest of the world just hadn't caught up tactically and skill-wise.
When they went back-to-back in 2015, the only team that really troubled them were the Springboks... A team that had some old dogs playing tactics and a game plan that was probably five years too old.
But as I say, everyone else has caught up, and for the past six years or so, we have been told that Test rugby has never been this competitive, and really, it's true.
While they weren't really troubled en route to their second title in a row, South Africa were.
They missed an entire year of international rugby, at least 13 Test matches to build depth and add experience, thrown directly into a British and Irish Lions Series - which they won, something the 2015 All Blacks didn't have to contend with.
Then they started testing depth and blooding new players, attempting to make up for those lost Tests the year before. While also innovating and creating the best defence the game has ever seen, which no other team has been brave enough to replicate.
At the same time, only suffering a heavy defeat once maybe... Yes, no TRCs, but that is a beast of its own and incredibly difficult considering the tired schedule regularly favoured NZ and AUS.
The 2015 All Blacks were sexy and scored cool tries, but both sides had that grit of never giving in and always believing that they can win regardless of their setback.
Then when it came to the actual World Cup, the Boks lost their star outside centre, and star hooker and still managed to play the top six-ranked sides in the world en route to winning the bloody thing. Not to mention in the final, losing another hooker and being brave enough to select 7 forwards on the bench and just one back - and those scrum call from a mark!
If you have to press me for an answer, both teams are incredible and arguably their country's greatest ever. But for me, being the victors in the most competitive Rugby World Cup ever during the most competitive period of professional rugby, the 2023 Springboks take it.

10 Things we've learnt about South Africans during the Rugby World Cup 🏉🇿🇦🏆:
1. Racism is an ongoing struggle within our country, but let another nation accuse one of ours of a racial slur and collectively we're ready to pounce #Kant
2. Bongi is one of the 44 South Africans who still speak Afrikaans #JaCharlize
3. Similarly, accuse us of not deserving the win on a public platform and 62 million of us are coming at you in all 12 official languages #EvenSignLanguage
4. Stadium lights get dimmed for the pyrotechnics show and South Africans worldwide assume Cyril took loadshedding to Paris #WeKantBelieve 🔦🕯
5. We're equally confused with Jacques and Rassie's light show because we've forgotten what to do when traffic lights are working 🚦🚨
6. If you want to really make us cross... make us wear turquoise instead of green and gold 💚💛
7. We're tired of being called resilient, but in the moments when we have Zero F's left to give.... the Springboks give us a Faf and we find reason to believe again ❤️🩹
8. We're so used to receiving kak news that when something positive happens we demand a public holiday to commemorate it #FamilyMeeting
9. We dare you to find a cooler captain #BeLikeSiya
10. Some may have made tough decisions to leave our beautiful country, others have made tough decisions to stay and fight for her... but no matter where we are - we are family 🌍💚 It's like the sibling relationship where we bicker and argue amongst ourselves, but let someone else insult us and we're defending like Pieter-Steph du Toit in the final.
We have so many reasons to be proud 🇿🇦! Not just of the Springboks but of our people who have united and supported, of our local brands and companies who have brought the gees and of our schools and parents who have encouraged the next generation to support and cheer for each other! We're leading from the bottom up 🇿🇦💚💛🏆
