It turns out we didn't kill woke at all. 90% of the people who believed it still believe it, they just shut up about it for 18 months because they thought Trump was going to put them in a work camp or something.
“The left isn’t used to seeing a party hold productive arguments with itself in the open. And while the event did not settle immigration, family policy, public health, or the AI question. It did force the people who will write the next decade’s rules into the same room to hold these discussions for the everyday American to witness.
And to Peterson’s point, a majority coalition that cannot do that will not remain a majority for long. Wednesday in Irving suggested that at least some of the right is finished treating every internal fight as betrayal. Instead, it showed that it is possible to go about doing the ordinary work of power.”

“National media that spent the week scolding Republicans for ignoring kitchen-table economics at the RNC conveniently left out of their coverage the FORUM event held a few miles away, where those exact questions were being fought in public…”

@kevin_hls Steelers leaked this to the media to try and drive the price up. Will soon realize they can’t get what they want in terms of draft picks. Shortly after that they will realize top 10 corners don’t grow on trees and cave to Porters demands.
@Corballyred Don’t really understand how you aren’t happy with the Barcola signing after spending a year moaning about how much we missed Diaz. Reaching and overpaying for the wrong DM is worse than not signing one IMO. Jacquet looks a legitimate upgrade on Konate as well.
Not knocking the frugality here, but burritos signal either a quick dinner or survival mode.
Americans deserve better. And ignoring or mocking the price problem is insulting.

What is the @WNBA waiting for?
The biblical evidence for Confession is clear, and it was done from the beginning by the early Chutch Fathers. Most people do not know this.
Arguing against confession started in the 16th century.
The men who gave you your bible confessed their sins to a priest.
The Didache (c. A.D. 70, one of the earliest Christian documents outside the New Testament):
“Confess your sins in church, and do not go up to your prayer with an evil conscience… On the Lord’s Day gather together, break bread, and give thanks, after confessing your transgressions so that your sacrifice may be pure.”
• Letter of Barnabas (c. A.D. 74): “You shall confess your sins. You shall not go to prayer with an evil conscience.”
2nd–3rd Century Fathers
• Origen (c. A.D. 248): Speaks of the remission of sins through penance when the sinner “does not shrink from declaring his sin to a priest of the Lord and from seeking medicine.”
• St. Cyprian of Carthage (c. A.D. 251): Strongly insists that sinners must confess their sins to the priests of God. He writes that those who approach Communion without having made confession and received reconciliation through the priest do so unworthily. He repeatedly links confession, the imposition of hands by the bishop/clergy, and the forgiveness of sins.
• Tertullian (early 3rd century) and Hippolytus (c. A.D. 215) also describe the Church’s authority to forgive sins and the practice of confession/penance.
Later Fathers
• St. Basil the Great (A.D. 374): “It is necessary to confess our sins to those to whom the dispensation of God’s mysteries is entrusted.”
• St. John Chrysostom (A.D. 387): Emphasizes that priests have received the power from Christ to forgive sins—a power greater than that of angels.
• St. Ambrose and St. Jerome (late 4th century) likewise affirm that the power of binding and loosing sins belongs to priests.
