Anime has stopped being made for Japan and has become a spreadsheet for Netflix.
That is why every season is another reincarnation story with a cheat skill and nothing Japanese in it.
What made anime special was that it was not made for the West.
Make it for Japan. The audience can adapt. The West will ruin anime.
In 1855, Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson founded a Bible school for free black children and slaves where he and other volunteers taught them to read. He taught there regularly until the war, then continued funding it until he was killed.
Among the six slaves he owned was one who asked Jackson to buy him so that he could more easily buy his own freedom at a later date (with Jackson’s encouragement, he did). Another was an older woman who also requested that he purchase her. A third was a young girl, likely with disabilities, who an elderly widow asked Jackson to purchase from her to secure the girl’s future. When Jackson departed for the war, he left instructions that she was to be cared. The other three came into his possession via marriage.
Plenty of firsthand accounts beginning long before the war and up to his death describe a humble, kind, dutiful, and charitable man, who was socially awkward and almost completely unconcerned with what other people thought of him.
A lot of Christians apparently need to hear this: being kind, generous and beloved does not make a false gospel true.
I love Dolly Parton. I mean that.
But since her passing, I’ve watched Christians point to how kind she was, how much money she gave away, how many books she donated, and how universally beloved she was—as though any of that changes the Gospel.
It doesn’t.
Dolly publicly said that everyone has their own path to God. That you can call it God, science, nature, energy—whatever works for you.
That sounds nice, tolerant, and loving—but it is not Christianity.
Jesus did not say He was a way to the Father.
He said He is THE way.
And I think Christians have become so terrified of appearing judgmental, intolerant or “unkind” that we’ve started confusing worldly niceness with biblical love.
Real love does not hide the truth to spare someone’s feelings.
I don’t know Dolly’s heart. I don’t know what happened between her and Jesus in the final moments of her life, and I sincerely pray she knew Him.
But I can evaluate her public words.
So can you.
And we should.
You can love Dolly. You can celebrate her extraordinary talent, generosity and uniquely American legacy. You can mourn her passing.
But we need to be clear on the Gospel message.
Truth does not become false because the world hates it. And falsehood does not become truth because it comes from someone the world loves.
There are not many roads to God.
There is one.
Jesus Christ. ✝️
Definitionally no, you don't.
A Jew is defined by many things, but easily one of the most important is their rejection of Jesus Christ as Messiah.
They will reject a person of Jewish ancestry from becoming an Israeli citizen if that person has become Christian.
They refuse to use the "+" symbol for addition, solely because it is a symbol for Christ, prefering "﬩" so great is their total rejection of Him.
Judaism, rather than the old religion of the Hebrew, began AFTER Christianity, with the completion of the Talmud. The Torah or Old Testament is of very secondary importance.
Jesus does not fit these criteria and by the Jews on rules, cannot be a Jew. He was a 1st Century Galilean who practiiced the now extinct religion of the Hebrews.
With His coming, the New Covenant began. It is actually quite silly and embarrassing to argue otherwise, because you're effectively saying that He didn't need to come, because the Hebrews were perfect as they were, and they don't need to accept Him because of their bloodline.
He specifically told them, in the Book of John, that their bloodline is worthless.
"Israel" is now the body of faithful Christians. Not an invented political ethnostate in Syria-Palestina.

Gamers calling for better ownership rights and pricing are not your enemies
You have more in common with them than any multi-billion dollar corporation.
Leave the snarky, smug condescending negativity and defeatism, and stand up for something that might ruin gaming for you and others, and it will be too hard to do anything to reverse it once it comes to pass.
Gaming is a business, like any other, just because it’s for fun, doesn’t mean the money you spend is less serious. So stand up for your best interest and stop worrying about their financial gain and profitability, because they sure as hell don’t care about yours.

In the movie The Patriot, I used to think Benjamin Martin was a coward for not voting to go to war with Britain. But now, his statement when asked "what of your principles" ; "I'm a parent, I do not have that luxury" completely makes sense to me. Even though his inaction could be blamed for the loss of his son Thomas' life.
Just as Martin did not care for the British, and felt the colonies should govern themselves, I do not like our current government. They have become the enemy of the people. Both sodes- left and right, Democrat amd Republican. I see we are no longer represented, and I believe we should be. I believe we can govern ourselves, and we should. I believe the Republic needs to be Restored. But this will likely not happen without bloodshed at this point.
I want to see politicians swinging for their crimes and usurpations. But I now realize as a father of young children, and a husband whose children and wife rely on me for their daily survival, I do not have the luxury of going rogue and taking direct action against the government at this time. Does that make me a coward?
I wrestle with this. I wrestle with God, and pray always. I pray for peace, so my children don't have to see war, and that they can grow up with me as their father.
I'm waiting. I'm waiting for the first shot so I can stand blameless before God. I'm waiting for an organized resistance. I would join the ranks. I can not fight by myself. I won't commit suicide.
I've tried to organize. I failed. Mostly because I could not keep men motovated and inspired. I saw too many other men also not willing to take risks. And now, I no longer have the time, resources, or treasure to invest in trying to organize. It causes me pain.
Any of you other men out there feel this way?
"Where are our men of abilities? And why do they not come forth to save their country?"
- George Washington
I’m convinced that the Instagram algorithm for women is designed by Screwtape.
“Now tell the women they deserve MORE than to look after their children, that their children are a BURDEN and they should have days of nothing but leisure”
“Show her all the ways her husband is failing and never let her appreciate a good thing about him”
“Tell her she has no power over demons and drugs. No agency, no will. Tell her she’s just a victim of circumstance!”
@thsottiaux I’m neither casual or new. I just can’t afford the pro plans. I understand the need to do this, but I am disappoint lol. Is what it is I guess. I still love Codex and have come to prefer it over Claude Code for my projects. Looking forward to more!
This was possibly the last great, hand-drawn, truly remarkable 2D animated feature film. It was actually animated around the English voice track.
They used CGI sparingly. Madhouse was just that good, back in the day. A lost and expensive art.
Looking forward to the 4K version.
I speak for a lot of men when I say this:
A man can be running on 4 hours of sleep.
He can stay up until 2 AM and still wake up at 6.
He can have more bills than money in his account.
He can be buried in debt.
He can be broke as hell.
He can be carrying problems he hasn't told a single person about.
He can be lonely.
He can feel like nobody notices his effort and nobody is coming to save him.
Yet somehow, he keeps moving.
He goes to work.
He shows up.
He keeps trying.
He keeps building.
Because deep down, most men carry a stubborn belief that things will get better.
Not today.
Maybe not tomorrow.
But eventually.
The business will grow.
The debt will get paid.
The hard work will pay off.
The bad season will pass.
It's not always confidence.
Sometimes it's pure faith.
Faith that if they keep showing up, keep grinding, and refuse to quit, one day everything they've been fighting for will finally work out.
And honestly, that quiet faith is what keeps a lot of men going.
