The bigger question is,

How did this situation come about? Is it not the inaction and inability of the Central Government that emboldens Chin-Kuki-Zo illegal immigrants, allowing them to challenge the rights of owners? On 27.03.2024, Security Forces arrested 05 (five) individuals from ‘Y ‘-Junction under Chakpikarong PS, Chandel District who were identified as i. Thangkholal Haokip (44 yrs), ii. Manglenthang Touthang (30 yrs), iii. Letkhogin Touthang (50yrs), iv. Lamminlun Haokip (22 yrs) and v. Chungkhohou Khongsai (38 yrs). Further, from their possession, the following items were recovered:
220 nos. of Soap Cases of suspected No. 4 Heroin, 1 (one) 9 mm Pistol with Magazine, 31 (thirty-one) live ammunitions, 2 (two) Single Barrel 12-Bore Gun, 1 (one) Walkie Talkie, 4 (four) Dah/ Khukri, 2 (two) mobile phones, 2 (two) 2-wheeler vehicles and 3 (three) identity documents.
A case has been registered for further investigation.
