Canada's largest fishing vessel has just been launched ... in Türkiye!

Congratulations to 🇨🇦's @BaffinFisheries and 🇹🇷's @TersanShipyard on the successful launch of the Inuksuk II.

Another BIG example of commercial cooperation between Canada and Türkiye. This enormous ship is on track to be harvesting turbot and shrimp in Canada's Arctic waters by next year.

Great news: the Canadian National Vimy Memorial, the #SaintJulien Canadian Memorial and the #BeaumontHamel Newfoundland Memorial have been added to the @UNESCO’s World Heritage registry. Canada is proud of this tribute to the sacrifice of #WW1 heroes.

Canadian Ambassador to Turkey and Defence Attaché laid wreath at 6th & last caribou on Trail. Had not realized until today that Royal Nfld Regiment was only North American regiment at Gallipoli 1915-16. Looking forward to visiting myself while in Turkey.
