A5) For me it sounds simple, but isn’t - provide consistency & opportunity. The challenge is maintaining the focus in the midst of all else, but transfer happens with consistent support during the learning and practice process, and creating space for this discussion. #hcpsread

A4) We are giving our students the foundational skills of understanding NF, but also thinking critically about information presented. This will apply to future school learning, personal reading, discriminating news reports and sources, etc. It’s all around! #hcpsread

A2) I started to implement Syntax Surgery this week. It’s so needed for fixing up misunderstandings of sentences that are critical to larger ideas in the text. With consistency, I think it will help my fluent, but poo comprehending readers. #hcpsread
