Field day for Wyatt at school and in the morning it was bring your pet for show and tell. Everyone else brought their dogs, so I brought Wyatt’s show sheep.
All the kids loved it and Wyatt is the talk of the school for the day.
My interests are split right down the middle.
One side of me is obsessed with bleeding-edge AI and the latest tech.
The other side is completely drawn to analog — the tactile, the imperfect, the timeless.
Anyone else living in both worlds?
Speed and memory have really improved, started to feel more like claude. Mutli-chat workflows, recently I have been able to work between two ongoing chats where as before I would get a "interrupting current task...."message. I was not inserting /background skill but I think its auto identifying it and using it to do so.
Kanban feature is nice but still testing and started working more with sub-agents with specific assigned skills. I have started building skills with opus and then using them in hermes, A/B testing and refining. Objective is to use skills in hermes since I am too cheap to pay for claude max and can get a lot of usage out of kimi/minimax through the Ollama $20 plan.
I use discord and I have it set so new conversations are automatically put into a thread to keep chats organized and easier to return to conversation. Channels+threads have been awesome as I hop around or have ongoing chats for a week+
Hermes was pretty decent (much better than openclaw) but these latest updates have really made it a much better experience.
Honestly I thought most issues stemmed from using kimi k2.6 or minimax through ollama.

I think one of the best things with AI that you can do right now is focus on building skills, centralizing them (not fragmented across tools) with version control so any AI tool or llm can access your specific skill.md.
Build/refine with any tool or llm.
Currently looking at a few options to accomplish this.

Update
I went back to the Brain using minimax 2.7 and delegation using kimi k2.6.
For what ever reason kimi k2.6 caused issues and I kept having to restart the gateway.
Hermes right now is a much better experience over openclaw.
I also have been slow walking it and testing cron jobs, memory, execution, etc…. Testing issues I had with openclaw and so far it’s far better.
Current setup:
Brain - Kimi k 2.6
Delegation - minimax 2.7
Memory - Obsidian (for certain things)
