@GiftedTawk Looks so fun! I'm not sure how you could incorporate this into the jam but I always read Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi and I have my students use sketchnotes to share what they know/learned about pi!

@GiftedTawk Love this idea! Excited to use the pentomino jam with my reading enrichment following "Chasing Vermeer"! Your Ken Ken jam was SO helpful teaching the puzzle with the sticky notes that could be moved. What about the same with Sudoku? I'm shocked by the # of s's that know those

I'm a teacher. You spoke, I believe, to getting kids back in from remote. What about hybrid? I can speak from experience - it's NOT good. It's a band-aid.

I've hit a wall - and it's only the first day back! Grade 4 writing enrichment ideas/projects? I meet with my classes when they are home so these lessons would be remote. Last year we wrote fractured fairy tales, mysteries, personal narratives, and poetry.

@BLLJMyles @GiftedTawk @NCassamassino THEN we begin planning. I've used index cards, online templates but what seems to work the best is just a google document where they can see the outline. Once they're underway, we print pages so they can lay them out.

@BLLJMyles @GiftedTawk @NCassamassino We took a CYOA book and took it apart. We stuffed the choices in envelopes and allowed the kids to physically walk to their choices. Then we gathered and charted their choices so that they could see the flow. I also have them work collaboratively in groups of 3-4.
