Finding a #flatmate is tough! I'm glad I built an app for it. Introducing RentCupid - an instant messenger that helps you connect with #flatmates, instantly.

I've built RentCupid to help you get familiar with a potential flatmate quickly and effectively. Being able to approve flatmates based on personality traits and instantly message them are the biggest highlights of the platform.

I built this platform when I faced the same problem after I moved to Bangalore a few months ago. But, finding someone who I could see myself sharing a home with proved to be an impossible exercise.

Personally, I have never met anyone who buys a Fortuner or Endeavor for their mile-munching capability (the only acceptable reason). A genuine use-case but that's about it, KEEP IT ON THE HIGHWAY. Our cities don't need SUVs, especially if it's a tool for your fragile masculinity
Appeal of bigger & more brutish trucks reflects “a crisis of masculinity. Nothing could be more emasculating than driving a minivan. So you want the vehicle that’s going to maintain your performative masculinity.” We have to protect our children from this. Every part of it.
Here is how we can start:
1) Build a safer street
2) Build a safer locality
3) Build a safer city
BUT, once we begin, we will realise that the safer a street gets for people, the lesser motor-vehicles it accommodates. Then, the so-called 'tough' decisions begin. #Cities4All
214 humans, a majority of whom are pedestrians and cyclists. Drive as a weekend getaway, I do. Drive because you enjoy the same, I do. But realise your responsibility while you do so. Your motor vehicle is far from ideal for our cities, it's downright dangerous. #citiesforpeople

…in an environment with vulnerable people all around you; people like your parents, your children, your neighbours and people like your friends...
(let’s say, a city)
They say “We can’t do that. We’re not Amsterdam.” You reply “Amsterdam wasn’t always like that either” & show before & after transformations illustrating how cities we admire made CHOICES. They try different excuses. Don’t accept them either. (1e van der Helststraat, 1978 & 2005)
We must recognise the difference between problem mitigation and problem aversion. While #EV is the future of vehicles, it must not be made the future of #cities.
Absolutely amazing. Quite a departure from the usual truck-first, minivan-second and car-third streets. The bicyclist? Forced into a rut or on the curb and, if you've ever ridden in India, in the rut AND on the curb.
Levels of hospitality in #Amsterdam. On the left a bicycles-first street, where cars are guests. The narrow street on the right is primarily for pedestrians, where cyclist are to behave as guests.
"But the #pedestrian was sorta kinda in the way of harm, right?". Wrong, we haven't built #cities around the needs of pedestrians and #bicyclists that's all. This must change.
"We don’t have to just accept [pedestrian deaths], and they aren’t just acts of God. They are very often the result of political decisions about what our values are or, in the case of pedestrians in particular, whose lives matter." -@schmangee#RightOfWay https://t.co/KncsQTSL5z
This is your chance to ditch that vehicle and get on a bicycle coming up on this very same segment. With bus lanes next to it there will be no more excuse. It’s now in our hands (or legs). #resetwithcycling#cycletowork https://t.co/RUZEIIlZ2t
