Same thing was true for us at Katalyst.
Zero visibility into token and AI spend split across API calls, internal apps, engineering, marketing, different models, different providers. No one had any answer lol.
We started pulling all of it into Ramp a few months back. Once we could see it broken out by team and by model, It became something we could actually manage. We're down 40 percent from where we started!
Thanks @eglyman and team!
The whole industry is selling one idea right now to sales teams. Just add more agents.
One to research the account. One to write the email. One to prep the call. One to update the CRM. Stack enough of them and you supposedly have an AI sales team.
Here's why I don't buy it.
An agent is only as good as the context it walks in with. Run ten of them and you don't get a team. You get ten islands. Each one knows its one narrow job and nothing about your actual deal, so they all reach for the same place to catch up. Your CRM. Which is usually half empty, last updated three calls ago by someone who swore they'd get to it. But that's a hard ask right there.
So the agents aren't working off the truth. They're working off whatever got left behind. Ten of them, all confidently building on the same stale context.
The bottleneck was never too few agents. Workflows are cheap now, build a hundred this week if you want. What's rare is one layer that holds the whole picture i.e. the context of the deal, the process behind it, the way your best rep actually runs the room. Get that right and the agents finally have something true to work from. Skip it and you're just automating your way to the wrong answer.
More agents was the easy idea. Something that remembers was the hard one.
Agents do the tasks. Context is what makes the tasks right.
P.S. How many AI tools does your team touch in a day now? And do any of them actually know whas the latest on the deal context?
@divlohia ‘Ten islands’ is spot on. Building cheap workflows is easy, but without a unified layer bridging them, you’re just paying ten different agents to guess at the strategy trapped inside a rep's brain. Extracting that nuance is the real mountain and why we're building @joinkatalyst .
Hi everyone! I'm Div, Founder & CEO of Katalyst, based in NYC. 👋
We officially launched on Product Hunt today and are now generally available!
Katalyst is an AI sales agent built for teams using Salesforce.
It joins customer conversations, captures the context that usually gets lost, automatically updates Salesforce, and helps reps spend more time selling instead of doing admin.
We also reimagined the onboarding experience with AI.

Salespeople hate updating Salesforce. Engineers hate manual work.
So, we built an AI agent to automate the entire pipeline. No more "I'll update the CRM later."
A year of heads-down engineering later, Katalyst is live! Show the team some love on Product Hunt today !!
Katalyst goes GA tomorrow - the AI that runs pipeline for teams on Salesforce. Six months. Still hard to believe what this team pulled off.
This is an elite team.
Rajarshi, @GunalGupta - the platform under all of it, capabilities, infra, evals, Sfdc layer, permissions
@sidhu_avneet1, Yajwin - the Katalyst agent that actually runs pipeline, agentic onboarding, sales context graph, tuning
@SaharshLohia , @kritikajalan29 - turning a genuinely complex product into self-serve. making something people actually like using.
@ConstanceAtwvt, @Dhruv8M, @DivijaDiwan20 - GTM eng, site, content, videos. thanks for keeping pace with me even when I kept changing direction.
To our early customers and design partners, thank you for trusting us early. And to everyone who backed us before there was much to back - thank you!
See you tomorrow.
