This Memorial Day, we honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.
Their courage secured the freedoms that make great endeavors possible and continues to inspire generations of Americans to serve something larger than themselves.
We remember them, and we remain forever grateful.
Artemis II successfully deployed 4 CubeSats in high Earth orbit.
These satellites, developed with our Artemis Accords partners @DLR_en,
@CONAE_Oficial, @with_KASA, and
@saudispace, will demonstrate radiation research, space weather monitoring, and new technologies that will be critical to advancing future deep-space exploration.
LIVE: Artemis leaders are discussing the successful launch of NASA's Artemis II mission and the next steps for the astronauts headed on their journey around the Moon. https://t.co/U1Bt9FPNc1
To return Americans to the Moon, NASA is shifting to an iterative, execution-focused approach – just as we did during Apollo.
We are standardizing rocket architecture, embedding NASA expertise across industry, and increasing launch cadence to support sustained lunar operations.
We are sending a demand signal for crewed missions beyond Artemis V, with at least two providers capable of bringing astronauts to the surface every 6 months.
The goal is not just to reach the Moon, but to stay.
America will never give up the Moon again.
Happy New Year, America! Tonight's @250Freedom_ projection on the Washington Monument was truly inspiring...from the Apollo pioneers who first walked the Moon to the Artemis generation carrying the torch in 2026. Grateful for the incredible legacy we're building upon, and fired up for American leadership in the next Golden Age of science and discovery.
Leading the world in scientific discovery, pursuing the space economy and making final preparations for America's return to the moon... 2025 was a strong year for NASA and I am incredibly proud of the team, but this is just the beginning.
Grieving the loss of one of my best friends, Jim Lovell. His extraordinary legacy is cemented by many space missions: Gemini VII, Gemini XII, Apollo 8 and Apollo 13.
Our mutual respect had no limits. The Gemini XII mission we flew together paved the way for the Apollo missions.
Heartfelt condolences to Jim’s family.
Farewell Jim. You will be missed, my friend. Godspeed!
New in Science: Researchers have developed a design platform that can rapidly generate vasculature trees that can then be bioprinted and used to successfully perfuse living tissue constructs. https://t.co/WYpSUDNmP5

After seeing most of the last 19 Space Shuttle launches, living in Orlando and working at Cape Canaveral, obsessed with every lunch: seeing Falcon 9’s first stage return for the first time was mind-bugling, like a glitch on the matrix, and in reality it’s the future among us🚀✨
I am grateful to be the recipient NASA Silver Achievement Medal for outstanding leadership and innovation of the biomedical and countermeasure hardware selection and flight certification processes. to my mentors & family; my journey would not be possible without your support.
