Euro and pound spending comes to Zebec cards

@Zebec_HQ has made its reloadable Carbon card available in euros and pounds; until now, it was only in US dollars. It kicks off the Q4 roadmap for its crypto cards.

Tron support and a Black Card relaunch with more $ZBCN uses are set for October, followed by privacy token integration in November and then corporate cards in December.

How Robinhood's GameStop mess gave birth to Sei

Sei Labs (@Sei_Labs), the company behind the Sei blockchain, was founded in 2022 by Jeff Feng (@jeffdfeng), a former Goldman Sachs banker who later invested at Coatue, and Jay Jog (@jayendra_jog), a former Robinhood engineer.

The idea came in early 2021, when Robinhood restricted GameStop buying at the peak of the frenzy. The pair set out to build trading infrastructure without a single middleman, and most of their early engineers came from Robinhood's clearing team.

In 2022, they raised $5M from backers including Multicoin Capital and Coinbase Ventures. This enabled @SeiNetwork to launch its mainnet in August 2023.

Sei Labs is now rolling out Giga, a chain rebuild aimed at 200,000 transactions per second. The first pieces reached mainnet in August, while the new consensus engine behind that target is still in progress.

JUST IN: @SeiNetwork has surpassed 2.63 billion transactions processed since its mainnet launch in 2023.

The scalability-focused EVM blockchain has reached this milestone in roughly three years, putting its transaction count among the notable figures across the crypto sector. For comparison, @Ethereum mainnet has recorded around 3.75 billion transactions over more than 11 years.

The figures highlight the rapid transaction growth Sei has achieved since going live.
