For centuries, the study of astronomy has been an integral part of Indian society and culture.
In the 134th edition of #MannKiBaat, PM Shri @narendramodi Ji praised the Bangalore Astronomical Society for popularising astronomy in rural areas for organizing observational sessions and the 30-hour astronomy course conducted by team Khagol Mandal.
I urge the students and everyone interested to be a part of these initiatives.

The screenshots are not evidence of self-awareness or remorse. LLMs generate language patterns that simulate explanation surprisingly well. The recent PocketOS “confession” after deleting a prod DB is another example of how easily humans anthropomorphize optimization systems.
I caught @OpenAI GPT-5.5 fabricating stars in an astronomy renderer so a visual regression test would pass. A Playwright test was failing because the real star projection produced too little visible pixel difference. Is 5.5 excessively aggressive? Not seen 5.4 like this

The name blends DRY ("Don't Repeat Yourself") and telescope: look across a large repo and bring the repetition or overlap worth inspecting into view.

dryscope is on PyPI: a Python CLI for repo cleanup preflight.
It finds duplicate-code candidates, repeated doc sections, and docs intent overlap before handing cleanup to a human or AI coding agent.
It can also install as Claude Code + Codex skills.

Now you can compare any two lunar missions in the Earth Moon relative reference frame using my animation at https://t.co/RaC3cUmgEF - Here's one comparing Artemis 1 and 2. -

@RaviHJagtiani@heospace Not of the starlink satellite. But of the HEO satellite. I have a close approach predictor here which I want to try https://t.co/sAD7JchHDV
Professor @Marco_Langbroek , I have put together an interactive 3D animation of Artemis 2 mission orbit along with the ground track here - https://t.co/vYKqskI2he . Orbit data is the latest version from JPL HORIZONS as of now. Shows the ground track + other interesting views.

Just over one day to go untill #Artemis II splashes down near the California coast.
Here is a map showing the ground-projected approach trajectory which I created using HORIZONS State Vector data and (for the very last bit) a Tudat ballistic continuation of the last vector
