@ZacT29866521@NeilShenvi Almost 800 million? It’s somewhere between 625 and 700. Don’t know where you got that number from. It’s most certainly blowing past that, people aren’t rushing to see Spider-Man in imax they are going to whatever theatre is available
@WHHotCoffee@youngpoultry@DiscussingFilm why wouldn’t it sustain? I guess you know something that the experts don’t know? It’s getting great word of mouth and people are having to wait a week or two to see in imax, my local 70mm imax is basically sold out for all of the good seats until the second week of August lmao.
@mindinpanic@zerohedge Lol it made nearly as much in its opening weekend worldwide as fantastic 4 last year did in its entire run. This franchise could make 5 more and still pull in 800 mill
@AFMBlog@zerohedge The average movie price in 1995 when the first Toy Story came out was 4.35 which is equivalent to 9.51 now. The average movie price now is 11.30. So it’s not much more with inflation. Yes there is more premium movie screens but the third one made a billion in 2010..
@ZMoe420@realbilly556@jemelehill@MagicJohnson The Beatles have sold more records and were more influential musically than mj but mj had a bigger peak and bigger sales on one album than the Beatles did. But total records sold Elvis and the Beatles have sold more.
