Three days so far in Utah and Idaho have left me embarrassed for WA state.

All along my travels I was treated to beautiful vistas just like we have in Washington. What I didn’t see were dirty city and country highways and streets, vagrants everywhere, dirty rest stops where I feared for my safety, or public drug use.

This is not simply a result of government policy though they set the tone and culture. It is also a result of pride of ownership, dedication to community and respect for the environment.

Utah and Idaho have those things. Washington, Oregon and California do not.

I agree with the theme of the movie but the movie is awful. The gratuitous sex scene in the brothel is just silly. The guy never changes his clothes and stands out like a sore thumb. Basically a turret in a room taking out a dozen cops? Doubt it.

Again, the message of the movie is right but the movie itself is poor. Sometimes I wonder who screens these movies and, at the end, says, "man, now that's art".
