Thinking of my father today, who just shy of 20, entered the Navy to fight in WWII on the SS Alcoa Voyager. Here he is with his crew mates, and 11 years ago today at age 87, when we visited the FDR site together. I miss him every day.

Did you know blue crabs in the #Hudson estuary travel long distances? The @NYSDEC Hudson River Fisheries Unit tags crabs to learn about their movements, and found one of these beautiful swimmers moved nearly 100 miles over 304 days. 🦀
