Pacey Dumas “bad” and deserving of the treatment they received. This obvious bias emphasizes a desperate need for change and reform within our justice system. This should never happen, let alone not be prosecuted.
ASIRTs decision not to prosecute this officer is not only blatantly wrong, it illustrates a continued pattern of unwillingness to prosecute individuals (such as police) in positions of authority due to a perception of them as “good” and individuals such as https://t.co/yN9oRvMA7D
"Ladies and gentlemen, my client is not an inadequate lawyer. He is an inadequate person. And if I'm not mistaken, you are the law society, not the person society."
…assuming thats fair market value, its $13 per pylon. 46 million pylons to build the arena. So. Way out of reach. But seriously, what is with the pylon surplus in this city? How many pylons do we have? Do we need all of these? Is this a potential hidden savings opportunity?
So, bear with me on this mildly long winded tale.
Months ago I began commenting to my partner that their seemed to be a serious surplus of pylons around @cityofcalgary. Like enough that the City appeared to just set up pylons on lane with no construction happening and…
…places pylons all over to make it look like work was being done when it wasn’t. I outloud queried “how many surplus pylons would there need to be to build a new arena for Calgary?” (As a massive @NHLFlames nerd). Well! Today! I came across this post on Facebook…
I genuinely implore @shandro or @ABDanielleSmith to go spend a single day in an Alberta docket court and bask in the glory of your "access to justice" regime.
@LegalAidAlberta
The UCP has made deep cuts to @LegalAidAlberta funding. Fact is Legal Aid roster lawyers are not accepting Legal Aid certificates over inadequate funding, tariffs, and eligibility thresholds. Instead of yelling insults across the aisle, @shandro should fix legal aid.

Tell me you're uneducated and completely blind to these issues without telling me.

Perhaps @shandro could go spend a day in Calgary Provincial Courtroom 308 and see much "access to justice," there is.

This is an incredibly important issue for people to educate themselves on. Your Alberta representatives have the power to make a positive change.

Inaction from the Alberta Government continues to cause backlogs & delays. The GOA claims family & criminal cases aren't affected by insufficient funding.
They are. Those on the front lines are sounding the alarm.

Canada's Charter guarantees ALL the right to a trial within a reasonable time (18 months)
The provincial government continues to put this right at risk through its underfunded Legal Aid program.
Retweet and tag @shandro to help us protect this right in Alberta.

@VirginRadioYYC@Twitter@Juliettenunes I tend to take my naps on the toilet at work. Can’t be mad! Can’t blame me if you think I’m taking an extra long dump! 🙈
