This remarkable autochrome is far more than it seems, connecting us almost 200 hundreds into the past. This is Father Hivet, parish priest of Saint-Waast, in Soissons, France, who was born 194 years ago in 1830. He was photographed in colour by Fernand Cuville in June 1917, during the Great War. It is an original colour photo and not colourised.
