if you aren't struggling to learn, your brain isn't changing.
andrew huberman drops a cold reality on how your mind actually works:
every fear, reaction, and habit you have is just a prediction map. after age 25, your brain stops updating those maps automatically. to build new roads after 25, you need two things: high-friction focus and aggressive repetition.
if you don't force deliberate focus into your life, you spend the rest of your days running on outdated software.
the mechanics behind it in the article below.
The man who possesses high pattern recognition is the most dangerous man alive. He has seen and suffered so much in this world that when he walks into any room, he makes people feel completely naked. Just by holding a little bit of conversation, he now sees the world as puzzles, and tries to connect whatever he has seen and understood in his life to that. And often he even succeeds.
Pattern recognition > IQ
The whimsy is a decoy. The most intelligent, militant minded, LETHALLY gifted people I know are VERY playful bc they have a side that is EXTREMELY venomous and even THEY are afraid of what happens when the scales tip just a LITTTTTTTLE too much. Tread lightly thinking that bc ppl CHOOSE peace that they aren’t skilled at war. They’re hidden in plain sight… not powerless.
Two Anthropic engineers walked onto a stage in Manhattan and told 1.2 million viewers to stop building agents.
Barry Zhang and Mahesh Murag. Members of Technical Staff at Anthropic. Fifteen-minute keynote. Fifteen minutes of solid gold.
They argued that the entire agent-building industry is trying to solve the wrong problem. Agents are not smart enough to figure out your domain from first principles. They need packaged expertise, not more scaffolding.
Their fix is a folder. A markdown file with a bit of front matter and optional scripts. They call it a Skill. Anthropic ships them inside Claude Code now.
Most engineers spent 2025 building bigger agents. These two spent it building a simpler thing and just made monolithic agent design obsolete.
If u remove entertainment & everything that gives u easy pleasure, ur brain gradually starts extracting fun from boring things instead. Eventually, u'll feel more fun doing what everyone else calls unbearable boredom. That's where greatness begins. Hard tasks start feeling easy bcz their torture becomes ur warmup. The only price is enduring a little torture in the beginning. this is the secret that moves everything in ur favour. The brain works on thresholds. The more pleasure u feed it, the higher its baseline becomes. What once felt extraordinary soon feels normal. That's why it also works in reverse. The more u indulge it, the less satisfaction u get. Keep subtracting. Keep growing. Easy.
be delusionally optimistic about your future. your mind will try to stop you. give you all kinds of reasons why you will fail. it's not the truth. it's fear. fear of uncertainty. do not fight it. just ignore it. believe that anything is possible. your belief is the spark that keeps you moving forward.
Strong hips. Better movement. Pain-free progress. ✨
Tight hips can limit your performance and increase discomfort. Spend a few minutes each day improving your hip mobility for better strength, flexibility, and movement.
Its hard to start things over. Men who
lose their job or get divorced will find themselves without everything but themselves. But these times are the greatest gifts to men. The times that a man only has himself, he realizes that is more than enough. A powerful spirit enters the man who is alone and whispers ancient secrets in his ears. But most don’t listen and doubt themselves. There can be no doubt. A man has himself and that is more than enough. No longer just a man but more. Being to becoming. Never surrendering.
why Pavel Durov believes there's a version of reality where he died in 2013
Lex asks whether you can think a thing into existence. Pavel takes the question somewhere stranger.
Pavel: "Maybe each of us experiences his own or her own universe. And maybe every second the universe splits into a billion of different universes and everything that can happen happens."
Then he makes it personal.
Pavel: "And there is a universe where say I died in 2013. Maybe every time I die I actually get to shift to a parallel universe when I don't die and then it keeps going, and at certain points we achieve this quantum immortality when we're 1,000 years old. But a lot of people from other versions of reality think we are long gone."
Which is where the answer to the original question sits: you don't summon outcomes, you navigate toward them.
Pavel: "It is possible to imagine our world as a high-dimensional universe where humans have the ability to navigate through it with the power of belief which is coupled with positive emotion and logical thinking."
Pavel: "I'm also incredibly grateful to you and to the fact that I happen to be in this version of reality when I haven't died at least yet."
