I have voted CPC since my first ballot was given to Stephen Harper. Seeing other Conservatives whine while the Libs are essentially executing their platform is sad. What matters is that the CPC's work over the last 10 years has kept their policies in the public debate. The fact that they're being executed while on the wrong side of the House of Commons is irrelevant. You shouldn't want your "guy" to win. You should want your country to go in the right direction.

I don't know about that. You're on an American TV show. It would have been important to point out that American firms are more on the high-margin/value-add side and can sell their products back to Canada (and the world as a whole) in a much more competitive way. Those American firms can achieve lower input costs, but those downstream effects are probably more important for the American economy and Americans' standard of living.
