Doing field work in the urban environment is both challenging and fascinating! This thread will highlight some of the experiences that myself and others in the lab have had doing field work in NYC. Like this squirrel with a slice of pizza, hanging out next to one of my feeders.
All CUNY schools will have a five-day instructional recess March 12-18. There will be no physical classes on campus. Students and faculty will be working on getting ready to have classes delivered via distance-learning for the remainder of the Spring semester. (1/4)
This semester has really gotten out of control but I thought the newest paper from @EcographyJourna on ecological networks of species interactions was worth a share!

I’ve hired a few people in my time.
I’ve never been disappointed by hiring someone who is less technical but is a great human who cares for others.
I can teach tech pretty easily.
But boy have I seen people who are strong technical people with toxic attitudes destroy a team.
What a fun weekend at the #EEBRetreat it was great to spend time with my #eeb and #plantscience colleagues from @GradCenterBio The breadth of science being done by such a diverse group of people was inspiring. And, hey, can't complain about these views either 😍
I honestly don't think we can talk about this enough. Mental health support in graduate school promotes good science and inclusion. We simply cannot accept this as the norm. #diversityinstem#sciencetwitter#mentalhealth#gradlife#phdlife

@JPSuraci @Ecology_Letters Just saw a pop sci write up of your work on Facebook and it reminded me of meeting you at last year's ESA poster session. Congrats on the Ecology Letters publication! Fun read 🙂
