It was an honor to testify before the @councilofdc & @ChmnMendelson on behalf of Stoddert Elementary.
Since the start of the school year, our school has been without a legally mandated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). These professionals provide essential support to children who struggle to communicate.
As PTO President, I’ve seen the impact of this gap firsthand. Watching some of our most vulnerable young students regress in their speech and language development has been heartbreaking.
We’re calling on our city’s leaders and @dcpublicschools to take immediate action and give our children the services they deserve. They are our future.
Our students deserve better. Their families deserve better. And our community deserves better.
Happy Mother’s Day! 💐
@mjohnstonedc, it’s impossible to put into words what an amazing mom you are. The boys and I are endlessly grateful for the love, joy, and care you pour into our family every single day. We love you so much!
A roarin’ good time at the annual Stoddert Auction Party 🥂
Our biggest fundraiser of the year brought out an incredible crowd and far surpassed our donation goal. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
It was truly special to spend the evening with so many members of this community; people we’ve come to know and love, and have worked alongside throughout the year.
I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as @StoddertPTO President this past year. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited for the next year and where we’re headed.
Let’s go, Wolves! 🐺
Loved being part of @MayorBowser’s 10th Annual Spring Cleanup!
Spent the day sprucing up Guy Mason Recreation Center in Ward 3’s @gloverpark alongside neighbors, community leaders, and an outstanding team from @DCDPW.
Big thanks to @DCMOCRS@WARD3_MOCRS for bringing it all together. And to @DCDPR for caring for our spaces year-round!
Closing Appropriate at @OlneyTheatre! What an incredible chapter it has been for Bennett.
He walked into this experience open-minded, and walked out with more than we could have imagined.
Bravo to the entire cast and crew on a wonderful run! 🎭
A pleasure to connect with Mayor @MurielBowser at the America250 DC Full Democracy Luncheon today.
Powerful reflections on DC Emancipation Day and the District’s ongoing story.
Grateful to be in the room with so many individuals who have contributed to this city and are committed to its future.
The Imagination Celebration! 🎭
As Board President of @I_Stage, this night is always especially close to my heart. Huge thank you to everyone who contributed—big and small. Every bit truly counts and it makes all the difference for Imagination Stage and the arts community.
I had the best time engaging with students at Stoddert Elementary School last week . It is so exciting to share my passion for medicine, to hear the dreams these young people have, and to meet with the teachers and administrators that make this school run!
Thanks again for the invite!!
My wife @mjohnstonedc and I are thrilled to share that our son Bennett is currently appearing as Ainsley in Appropriate at @OlneyTheatre! 🎭
After starring as the lead in a production at @I_Stage last summer, he was encouraged to audition—and this opportunity followed.
This marks his first professional production, and it’s been an incredible experience. From long rehearsals to a demanding schedule, he’s had the chance to be part of a powerful, Tony Award–winning play alongside an exceptionally talented cast and creative team. As one of the youngest members of the company, he’s taken on a complex and emotionally layered story—and has loved every second of it.
The show has already been running for a couple of weeks and has been receiving an incredible response—if you’re in the DC area, there’s still time to catch it.
We’re so proud of him and grateful for the opportunity.
Surreal experience! @mjohnstonedc was attending a private @rascalflatts concert at a conference in Nashville and she FaceTimed me. Suddenly, lead singer @GaryLevox grabbed her phone and brought me on stage! We had a fun convo and I even got an up-close serenade. What an unexpected, but very fun memory. Keep crushing it, Gary and boys!
