A roarin’ good time at the annual Stoddert Auction Party 🥂
Our biggest fundraiser of the year brought out an incredible crowd and far surpassed our donation goal. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
It was truly special to spend the evening with so many members of this community; people we’ve come to know and love, and have worked alongside throughout the year.
I’m deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as @StoddertPTO President this past year. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited for the next year and where we’re headed.
Let’s go, Wolves! 🐺
Loved being part of @MayorBowser’s 10th Annual Spring Cleanup!
Spent the day sprucing up Guy Mason Recreation Center in Ward 3’s @gloverpark alongside neighbors, community leaders, and an outstanding team from @DCDPW.
Big thanks to @DCMOCRS@WARD3_MOCRS for bringing it all together. And to @DCDPR for caring for our spaces year-round!
I had the best time engaging with students at Stoddert Elementary School last week . It is so exciting to share my passion for medicine, to hear the dreams these young people have, and to meet with the teachers and administrators that make this school run!
Thanks again for the invite!!
Due to the forecasted severe weather, DCPS will close schools two hours early on Monday, March 16.
Afterschool and evening activities are cancelled. Staff will remain at school until all students are safely dismissed.
Love our monthly Coffee With The Principal gatherings at @StoddertPTO. It invites a casual conversation regarding the most pressing issues facing the school between staff, the PTO, and the general parent community. Sometimes even prospective families!
👷🏾♀️ This #WomenInConstructionWeek, meet our DGS Assistant Project Manager, Crystal West, as she takes us behind the scenes of the Stoddert Addition project.
🚧We honor the dedication, hard work, and achievements of the women building the future in construction! #NAWIC#WICWeek
Praying for the two victims who have been tragically shot in Glover Park in NW DC late this afternoon. @StoddertPTO was immediately put under lockdown which included students in aftercare, parents who had arrived to pick up their kids, aftercare staff, and @dcpublicschools and @DCDPR employees. Everyone in the school community is safe and has now been dismissed. Thank you to @DCPoliceDept and @SecretService for ensuring safety for our children.
Please note the following changes to the School Year 2025-2026 calendar due to last month's weather-related closures.
Thank you for your flexibility, DCPS!
DCPS will open on a 2-hour delay for Monday, February 2. Students should report to school two hours later than the normal start time. All before-care and morning programs are cancelled. Breakfast will be available for students upon arrival. Please travel safely.
NEW: DCPS will reopen tomorrow, Jan 29, and Friday, Jan 30, on a 2-hour delay.
Teams have been working hard to make sure we’re ready, and we can’t wait to welcome our learners back to their classrooms.
With @stoddertpto’s incredible custodial crew!
These heroes have been out in the bitter cold for days, clearing heavy snow and ice to make our school safe and accessible. It was exhausting, but deeply fulfilling to lend a hand alongside them.
Huge thanks to the parents and kids who showed up to help. The crew was so appreciative and our students will be as well when @dcpublicschools are finally back in class.
This is the power of community in action. Neighbors showing up, shovels in hand, smiles on their faces.
Stay safe and warm, everyone.
Due to weather conditions, all DCPS schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 27.
Debido a las condiciones climáticas, todas las escuelas de las DCPS estarán cerradas el martes 27 de enero.
Proud to welcome DC teachers and staff back to school today! Across the city, educators are preparing for students to return next week. 🍎✏️
This morning in Ward 3, we cut the ribbon for the modernized Stoddert Elementary—one example of how we’re investing in public education.
As DC School Garden Week comes to a close, students across the District are celebrating what it means to learn beyond the classroom — by stepping into the garden. https://t.co/IqRYz9sNMk
Along with more than 20 countries, #Azerbaijan’s 🇦🇿 #culture and #cuisine were presented at the International Day organized by the Stoddert Elementary School in Washington, D.C. 🇺🇸
Today I visited Stoddert Elementary and MacArthur High Schools. Thanks to Principals Ms. Lutz and Dr. McCray for hosting the tours.
It’s critical school facilities are equipped to provide safe environments for all students, and I will continue to tour schools over the next week.
