The illusion of moral decline: people believe that people are less kind than they were in the past, but they're wrong about it, and this illusion comes from biased exposure to information and biased memory. New Nature paper:

[olivia stowell @oliviastowell]

well. @UMich has officially docked all pay but $100 for april from its grad workers, putting many of us in a position of dangerous financial precarity. friends/allies, please consider donating to @geo3550 strike fund at https://t.co/NlE4QIQXh6. we need all the help we can get ✊

[Sen. Bernie Sanders @SenSanders]

No graduate student worker should be living in poverty while the University of Michigan sits atop a $17 billion endowment. These 2,500 workers deserve safe working conditions and living wages. The University must bargain a fair contract immediately.

[Grad Employees' Org UMich @geo3550]

Faculty, we need your support! Don't scab on striking workers, which means DO NOT:
🟣 Cancel or change assignments
🟣 Modify course content
🟣 Combine or teach sections
🟣 Grade what you normally wouldn't
🟣 Hire replacement workers
🟣 Submit grades

[Grad Employees' Org UMich @geo3550]

Who says you shouldn't just delete them? 🔥😎

Or report them for phishing/ spam! 😇

Don't fill out attestation forms - never report striking workers - sign up to picket at https://t.co/v9LwD2gv24!

[Grad Employees' Org UMich @geo3550]

BREAKING❗️ We are honored that Christine Chávez, granddaughter of César Chávez, has cancelled her appearance at this event out of respect of our picket lines and in solidarity with our strike for a living wage.

[Grad Employees' Org UMich @geo3550]

Tonight our members moved to STRIKE! Join us on the Diag this WEDNESDAY at 10:24 AM as we WALK OUT and walk away from $24K—we’re striking for a living wage! When we stand together, we stand strong!

[alexis mccarroll @lexmccarroll]
